We are deeply grieved to hear of the struggles your daughter is facing, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The Word of God warns us clearly about the influence of ungodly company: "Do not be deceived: ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB). The choices she is making, vape use and alcohol consumption, are not only harmful to her body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), but they also distance her from the path of righteousness.
We must also rebuke the spirit of rebellion and worldliness that has taken hold of her. The Bible tells us, "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world" (Titus 2:11-12 WEB). Her actions are not aligned with the life God calls His children to live. We must pray for conviction, repentance, and a turning away from these destructive habits.
Let us lift her up in prayer together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious daughter who has strayed from Your ways. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of peer pressure and worldly influence that have led her into sin. Father, we pray for a spirit of conviction to fall upon her, that she would recognize the danger of her choices and turn back to You with a repentant heart. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and rebellion in Jesus’ name, and we declare that she is set free by the power of the blood of Christ.
Lord, surround her with godly friends who will encourage her in righteousness. Give her parents wisdom, patience, and strength as they guide her back to You. Father, we ask that You would restore her to a life of holiness and purpose, that she may walk in the light of Your truth. We pray for healing over her body, mind, and spirit, and we ask that You would draw her close to You, that she may know the depth of Your love and the freedom found only in Christ.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, and it is only by His name that we are saved. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your daughter, covering her in prayer daily. Speak truth into her life with love and firmness, reminding her of God’s standards and the consequences of sin. Proverbs 22:6 tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Even if she has strayed, there is hope for restoration through Christ.
Additionally, consider seeking godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor who can provide support and guidance for your family during this time. The enemy seeks to destroy, but God is greater, and He is able to turn her heart back to Him. Stand firm in faith, knowing that God hears your prayers and is working even now.
