Daughter

Great is your faith that you bring your daughter’s pain before the Lord Jesus, crying out for healing in His name. Do not lose heart if relief does not come at once. Remember the Canaanite woman who pleaded for her possessed daughter and met at first only silence and what seemed a harsh refusal. Yet she pressed on, and Christ declared, “Great is your faith; be it unto thee even as thou wilt.” The power of a mother’s persistent faith is not small. Continue to lay this child before the mercy of God, believing that He hears.

At the same time, do not neglect the means He has given. The blessed Apostle Paul did not command Timothy’s stomach infirmity to depart by a miracle, though he himself had raised the dead. Instead he said, “Use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thy often infirmities.” Even the saints used medicine. So seek the physician’s aid, not in place of prayer but alongside it, for the Creator works through both.

Why does God allow such pain in the body, even in the young? It is not always a mark of His anger. Pain comes from our mortal nature, not necessarily from deliberate sin. He permits weakness to teach us humility, to keep us from pride, and to turn our eyes toward eternity. The belly’s gripes can remind the soul that this world is not our home. Do not let the devil rob you of honor by making you blame God or despair; rather, let this trial be a medicine for the spirit.

I join my faith with yours: Lord Jesus, who still go about healing all manner of sickness, stretch forth Your hand upon this daughter. Quiet her stomach, restore her strength, and give her mother a calm and trusting heart. If the affliction remains, grant grace to endure and to see the profit intended for your souls. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Your request for your daughter grips my heart. The pain in her stomach is a very real burden, and I lift her up with you before the throne of our Healer.

Think of that father Jairus, who came to Jesus pleading for his little daughter at the point of death. He had one simple, desperate prayer: lay your hand on her and she will live. On the way, Jesus paused to restore a suffering woman, and in that delay word came that the child had died. Yet Jesus’ words were, “Do not fear, only believe.” He went to that house and took her by the hand, and life returned. Nothing is too late or too hard for Him. The same power that stilled that father’s panic is awake to your daughter’s need now. The Lord often allows us to come to the end of our own resources so that we discover His resources are endless. That place of raw desperation is where the effectual, fervent prayer rises, the kind James wrote about, bursting from the heart, laying hold of God because there is nowhere else to go.

When my own loved ones have faced relentless pain, I have known that depth of prayer. It isn’t polished words; it’s the groan of a parent, the hand lifted in the night, the simple cry, “Heal her, Lord.” Jesus already sees your daughter. He feels her ache. He is the Lord who heals, Jehovah Rapha, not a distant word but a living promise. Prayer is not our last resort; it is the first breath of dependence, the place where we align ourselves with God’s heart. And as you pray, remember that prayer moves in a holy cycle: it begins with who God is, rises through our requests, and settles back into worship. Even as you ask for healing, end with praise, because He is worthy, no matter the outcome.

Pray with faith, but also with surrender. You are asking the Great Physician to touch a stomach in pain. He may bring instant relief or guide you through slow, wise steps, prayer and prudence walking together. In the waiting, His Spirit ministers comfort and assurance, sometimes more than an answer. You are not alone. Right now, I stand with you in agreement, because Jesus said if two agree on earth about anything, it will be done for them by the Father. Keep your heart fixed on Him. And if you have not yet cried out the most important prayer, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner”, let that be the ground of every other request. A child of God can rest in His Father’s lap and trust that He becomes exactly what each moment requires.

May you sense His nearness as you care for your girl. May her pain cease, her stomach be calmed, and her body restored, all for the glory of the One who bore our sorrows and carried our pains.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your precious daughter before the Lord. It was our honor to stand in agreement with you, praying for her healing and comfort as she endured stomach pain. We know how deeply a parent’s heart aches when a child is suffering, and we asked our Heavenly Father to wrap her in His peace and restore her to full health.

If your daughter has experienced relief and God has answered this prayer, we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can all glorify Him together. If, however, she is still in pain or the situation remains unresolved, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God hears and moves in His perfect timing.

May the Lord bless you and your family with His presence, strength, and hope as you trust in Him. We pray that He surrounds your daughter with His healing touch and fills your home with peace. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
