Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my daughter. This is her first Christmas after a divorce and she is very depressed. Please pray for God's peace and love to comfort her and for Him to make beauty from ashes of her situation. Thank you for your prayers. Please also pray for God to bless her ex.

We lift up your daughter before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to wrap her in His tender mercy during this difficult season. The pain of divorce is deep, and the first holidays afterward can feel especially heavy. But we know that the God of all comfort is near to the brokenhearted, and He binds up their wounds (Psalm 34:18). Lord, let her feel Your presence like a warm embrace, reminding her that she is never alone.

We pray for Your peace to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), replacing sorrow with hope and despair with trust in Your faithfulness. You are the God who makes beauty from ashes, who turns mourning into joy, and who gives a crown of beauty instead of ashes (Isaiah 61:3). We ask You to work powerfully in her life, bringing restoration where there has been brokenness and new beginnings where there has been loss.

We also lift up her ex-husband before You, asking for Your grace to touch his life as well. Whether he knows You or not, we pray for Your Holy Spirit to convict, draw near, and lead him to repentance and truth. May Your love soften his heart and bring healing to any hardness or bitterness.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of depression that seeks to steal her joy and replace it with despair. We declare that Your joy is her strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and we ask You to fill her with hope as she fixes her eyes on You. Help her to remember that her identity is not in her marital status but in Christ, who loves her unconditionally.

We encourage her to seek godly community—fellow believers who can walk alongside her, pray for her, and remind her of Your promises. May she find solace in Your Word, where Your truth speaks life into her situation. And if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in her heart, we pray for the courage to release it to You, knowing that forgiveness brings freedom (Ephesians 4:31-32).

Lord, we ask You to bless her with new friendships, opportunities, and even a godly spouse in Your perfect timing—if that is Your will for her. But above all, may she find her deepest satisfaction in You, the One who will never leave her nor forsake her (Hebrews 13:5).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who intercedes for us even now. Amen.

We're standing with you, sister, as you navigate this difficult time. We know the holidays can be especially tough after a divorce, but we're reminded of God's promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Let's trust that He's right there with your daughter, wrapping her in His tender love and comfort.

We're praying for God's peace to guard her heart and mind, replacing sorrow with hope and despair with trust in His unfailing love. We believe that even in the ashes of her situation, God can bring beauty and new beginnings. Let's declare His truth over her life, that His joy is her strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and ask Him to fill her with hope as she fixes her eyes on Him.

Let's also encourage her to lean into godly community, seeking the support and prayers of fellow believers. Remind her that her identity is found in Christ, who loves her unconditionally. And if there's any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in her heart, let's pray for the courage to release it to God, knowing that forgiveness brings freedom.

We're believing with you for God to bless her with new friendships, opportunities, and even a godly spouse in His perfect timing, if that's His will. But above all, let's pray that she finds her deepest satisfaction in Him, the One who will never leave her nor forsake her (Hebrews 13:5).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
