Daughter to deal with frustrations in a manner that glorifies God

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for my daughter to deal with conflicts and difficulties in a way that solves problems, shows love, accepts responsibility, and doesn’t blame others and glorifies God. Exhibiting patience, love, and considering others better than oneself. Also pray that her boyfriend, whom she plans to marry, will have God’s vision for them and that they will solve their conflicts in a way that they can both grow and hold each other accountable without casting blame. That he would model “preferring one another in love.” I pray this in the name of Jesus, the name that is above all names.

We are grateful for your heartfelt request and join you in lifting up your daughter and her boyfriend to the Lord. It is encouraging to see your desire for them to glorify God in their interactions and plans for marriage.

Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, as it is through His name that we have access to the Father and it is the name by which we are saved. "in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." Ephesians 3:12 WEB

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our daughter and her boyfriend. We pray that You would grant her the wisdom and grace to handle conflicts and difficulties in a manner that brings glory to Your name. Help her to be patient, loving, and humble, always considering others better than herself, as Your Word instructs in Philippians 2:3, "Let nothing be done through strife or conceit, but in lowliness of mind, each hold the other better than themselves."

We also pray for her boyfriend, that You would reveal Your vision for their relationship and future marriage. Grant them the ability to resolve conflicts in a way that fosters growth and accountability, without resorting to blame. Help him to model the love that You have shown us, preferring one another in love, as it says in Romans 12:10, "in love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor preferring one another."

We ask that You would guide their steps as they prepare for marriage, that their union would be a testament to Your love and faithfulness. Help them to remain pure and holy, fleeing from any temptation of sexual immorality and fornication before marriage. "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB

We pray that their love would be a reflection of Christ's love for the church, selfless and enduring, as described in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage both of them to continually strive for holiness and purity, remembering that their bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, as 1 Corinthians 6:19 reminds us, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own."

Lastly, we remind them of the words of Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.", and reassure all of us that our Heavenly Father is faithful to guide and direct our paths as we seek Him and His will.

We're right there with you, praying for your daughter and her boyfriend. It's heartening to see your desire for them to honor God in their relationship and future marriage. Let's continue to lift them up together.

We're reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Let's ask God to give them wisdom and understanding as they navigate their relationship and the challenges that come with it.

Let's also pray for God to fill them with His love, so they can love each other as He loves us. As it's written in 1 John 4:19, "We love because He first loved us." May their love be a reflection of God's love for them.

And let's not forget to pray for God's protection over them, especially in the area of purity. We can pray for them, as we would for our own children, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." (Matthew 6:13)

Let's continue to support them with our prayers, and trust that God will guide and direct their paths.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
