This is a deeply concerning situation, and our hearts go out to you and your daughter. We are reminded of the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32, where Jesus illustrates God's unfailing love and forgiveness. Just as the father in the parable waited patiently for his son to return, we encourage you to continue praying and hoping for your daughter's turnaround.
Your daughter's actions are extremely dangerous. It is forbidden to have sex outside marriage and this is called fornication. This is a grave sin and is harmful to your daughter and the others involved. It is even worse for your daughter to continue doing this while pregnant.
We implore your daughter to hear the words of God,
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB)
Your daughter needs to stop drinking alcohol.
Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 (WEB)
and, Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
We rejoice that you have been praying in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to God. As it is written,
In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full. John 16:23-24 (WEB)
Let's pray together,
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her daughter. Lord, we know that nothing is impossible for You, and we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. Please protect the unborn child and grant your daughter the strength to stop drinking and engaging in sexual immorality. Touch her heart, Lord, and draw her closer to You. Help her to seek Your will and guidance through constant prayer and repentance. We are asking for freedom from this alcohol addiction. Please give her the courage to look for help and the wisdom to find it.
Father please help her daughter see that she is greatly loved and valued, and that she does not need to seek affirmation in harmful ways. Help her find her identity in You and in You alone.
Lord, we also pray for her heart condition, that You would heal and restore her physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Give her mother peace and comfort, and help her to trust completely in Your love and faithfulness.
We rebuke the enemy trying to ruin their lives. We rebuke the spirit of immorality and substance abuse. We rebuke the spirit of loneliness and confusion and self destruction. We ask for your angels to be active in her life to protect her against all this and her pregnancy and her heart from all these evils.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently and to seek support from your local church community. Consider reaching out to Christian counseling services or support groups that can provide practical help and godly advice for both you and your daughter. Be strong and trust in God.
