We understand your concern for your daughter and the situation she is in. It is important to remember that God's Word tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB)? This principle applies to our closest relationships, including marriage.
Your daughter is pursuing a relationship with someone she met online who is not a believer. This is concerning because it goes against the biblical principle of being equally yoked. Additionally, long-distance relationships can have their own set of challenges and temptations. It is wise to be cautious and prayerful about such situations.
Let us pray together for your daughter and your situation.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her daughter. Lord, we ask that You intervene in this relationship and guide our sister's daughter away from this unequally yoked union. Give her the discernment and strength to make wise decisions that honor You. Surround her with godly friends who share her interests and will draw her closer to You.
Lord, we also lift up our sister, who is struggling with this situation as a mother. Grant her peace, wisdom, and the courage to speak truth into her daughter's life. Help her to trust in Your sovereignty and goodness, knowing that You have the best interests of both her and her daughter at heart.
Father, we ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You and can make these requests. As you have said in your Word, you have given him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth (Philippians 2:9-10 WEB). It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and by which we must pray. In Jesus name.
And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in you (Psalm 39:7 WEB).
