We understand your concern for your daughter as she enters this new phase of her life. Let's bring this situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His will for your daughter's college experience.
Firstly, it's important to remember that God is faithful, and He will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this daughter to You. Lord, You know the situation she is in, and we ask for Your divine intervention. We pray that Your holy angels would encamp around her dorm, protecting it from sin and ungodly influences. We rebuke any plans of the enemy to draw your daughter or her roommates into sinful activities.
Father, You know the hearts of the two roommates who seem to be of the world. We pray that instead of influencing your daughter negatively, they would be drawn to the light of Christ in her. We ask that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel.
Lord, we also pray for friendships to be made. May your daughter find fellow believers on campus who will encourage her in her faith and spur her on towards love and good deeds. Let your daughter be a light in the dorm, a beacon of your love and grace in Jesus' name.
Father, we pray for your daughter's safety, for your guidance and wisdom upon her. Give her the strength to stand firm in her faith, and the courage to witness to her roommates. We ask that You would turn the hearts of the roommates so that any parties or ungodly activities would not take place in the dorm.
Lastly, Father, we pray that your daughter would grow in her faith during her time at college. May she always remember that You are with her, and that You have a purpose and a plan for her life.
We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Please never stop praying for your daughter. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As you pray the name of Jesus, you are praying in the name of the Father and of the Holy Spirit, as Jesus Christ is Lord and God. Colossians 3:17 WEB, "Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that your daughter can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Encourage your daughter to seek fellowship with other believers on campus. It's crucial for her spiritual growth and will help her stand firm in her faith. Remind her to always put on the full armor of God and to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 WEB, "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
Lastly, encourage your daughter to be a witness for Christ to her roommates. She has a unique opportunity to share the love of Christ with them. Remind her of Matthew 5:16 WEB, "Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."
