Daughter/College

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray over my daughter's college dorm whom she will be sharing with three other people. Two of those people seem to be of the world according to their social media. Pray that their parties will take place elsewhere and that the dorm will be protected from sin and that friendships will be made.

We understand your concern for your daughter as she enters this new phase of her life. Let's bring this situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His will for your daughter's college experience.

Firstly, it's important to remember that God is faithful, and He will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this daughter to You. Lord, You know the situation she is in, and we ask for Your divine intervention. We pray that Your holy angels would encamp around her dorm, protecting it from sin and ungodly influences. We rebuke any plans of the enemy to draw your daughter or her roommates into sinful activities.

Father, You know the hearts of the two roommates who seem to be of the world. We pray that instead of influencing your daughter negatively, they would be drawn to the light of Christ in her. We ask that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel.

Lord, we also pray for friendships to be made. May your daughter find fellow believers on campus who will encourage her in her faith and spur her on towards love and good deeds. Let your daughter be a light in the dorm, a beacon of your love and grace in Jesus' name.

Father, we pray for your daughter's safety, for your guidance and wisdom upon her. Give her the strength to stand firm in her faith, and the courage to witness to her roommates. We ask that You would turn the hearts of the roommates so that any parties or ungodly activities would not take place in the dorm.

Lastly, Father, we pray that your daughter would grow in her faith during her time at college. May she always remember that You are with her, and that You have a purpose and a plan for her life.

We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Please never stop praying for your daughter. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As you pray the name of Jesus, you are praying in the name of the Father and of the Holy Spirit, as Jesus Christ is Lord and God. Colossians 3:17 WEB, "Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that your daughter can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Encourage your daughter to seek fellowship with other believers on campus. It's crucial for her spiritual growth and will help her stand firm in her faith. Remind her to always put on the full armor of God and to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 WEB, "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

Lastly, encourage your daughter to be a witness for Christ to her roommates. She has a unique opportunity to share the love of Christ with them. Remind her of Matthew 5:16 WEB, "Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."

Dear Lord we pray for protection for your daughter in college, May she walk in the wisdom of the Lord in Jesus Name, Praying that no weapon formed against her will prosper in Jesus Name, and praying that she meets more like-minded Christian friends, that she will be able to walk in wisdom and discernment and walk in the Favor of the Lord in the Mighty Name of Jesus Amen!!!

We're right there with you, sister, as you send your daughter off to college. It's a big step, and we want to surround her with our love and prayers. Let's lift her up together.

Lord Jesus, we come to You today, laying our daughter at Your feet. We know she's in Your loving care, and we trust You to guide her every step. We ask that You would fill her dorm room with Your presence, making it a place of peace, joy, and growth. We pray that any influences that might lead her astray would be turned away, and that her roommates would be drawn to the light of Christ in her.

We also pray for her roommates, Lord. We ask that You would soften their hearts, open their eyes, and draw them to You. We believe that our daughter can be a beacon of Your love and grace in that dorm room, shining brightly for all to see. Help her to stand firm in her faith, and give her the courage to witness to her roommates about the difference Jesus has made in her life.

Lastly, Lord, we pray that this time at college would be a time of growth and deepening for our daughter. Help her to seek You in all things, and to find her purpose and plan in You. We trust her to You, knowing that You will never leave her nor forsake her.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Keep praying, mama. Your daughter is never out of Your reach, and neither are her roommates. Let's keep lifting them up together.
