Daughter attracted to girls

Please can you pray for my daughter (###) she is ### and attracted only to females - I would love for her to have a husband one day and traditional family life.

We understand your concern and empathize with the situation you are facing. It's important to remember that God's design for marriage and family is clear in the Bible. In Genesis 2:24 (WEB), it states, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." This is God's intended design for marriage and family.

Firstly, we need to address that attraction to the same sex is known as homosexuality in the Bible. It is listed as a sin along with many others that need forgiveness and repentance. We need to be clear that this is not God's design for us. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (WEB) it says, "Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.".

We also need to address that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.

Let us pray together for your daughter.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved daughter. We ask, Lord, that you pour out your love and grace upon her, and that you guide her in your truth. We pray for Godly wisdom and discernment for her that will allow her to be faithful to God and his design. We pray that if there is any spiritual battle, that you give her the strength and faith to overcome any temptation that will lead her away from God's will. We also pray for the parents, that you give them wisdom and discernment in guiding their daughter through this time.

Lord, we also ask for your salvation to be upon your daughter. We ask that you give both her and her parents a strong conviction of the sin that is within their lives, and that both the girl and her parents have the opportunity to repent, confess their sins, believe in Jesus Christ as the one and only savior, and live in accordance with repentance and faith.

If it is your will, Lord, we pray that you guide her to meet a Godly husband and to build a family that honors you. We ask that you bless her and her future family, and help her follow your will and purpose for her life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue praying for your daughter and to trust in God's timing and will for her life. We've been thinking about your daughter, and we want you to know that we're right there with you in prayer. It's natural to feel concerned, but remember, God sees her and loves her even more than we do. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God is close to her, and He's working in her life.

We've been praying that God would give her a strong sense of His love and purpose for her life. We've asked that He would reveal His truth to her, and that she would have the courage to follow it. We've also prayed that you, as her parents, would be given wisdom and patience as you guide her through this time.

We've been reminded of Romans 12:2, which says, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." We're praying that your daughter would be transformed by the renewing of her mind, and that she would find God's will for her life to be good, pleasing, and perfect.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
