Beloved of All
Praying with you for your daughter is a good and loving thing to do, and God hears that prayer.
There is a pattern we see in Scripture when someone brings a burden to the Lord. The prayer often begins with the request itself, then moves to a place of confidence, and finally to praise, even before the answer is seen. That confidence does not come from within ourselves. It comes from turning the matter over to God and remembering who He is. He is our helper, the One who upholds our souls. When we put our focus on Him, assurance and peace come, and we are able to stand through uncertain seasons because we know He will take care of what we have entrusted to Him.
That is my prayer for your daughter. That as she calls upon the Lord, morning and evening and throughout the day, He will give her a settled confidence that is rooted in Him, not in her own strength or in her surroundings. Scripture says to call upon God and He will save, and that He hears our voice when we cry aloud to Him. You can trust that He is with her at the university just as He is with you at home, and that He is able to guard and guide her.
I also join you in praying for her friendships. The desire for companionship is natural and God given, especially in the young years. We see in Scripture how a young woman went out seeking companionship among the daughters around her, which reminds us how important the choice of friends is. I am praying that the Lord will bring across her path friends who are genuinely kind, supportive, and trustworthy, friends who will encourage what is good and who will help her walk faithfully with Christ. True friends are a gift from God, and He knows how to provide them.
May the Lord give you peace as you continue to lift her up to Him, and may He give her confidence in His presence and joy in friendships that build her up and help her trust Him more. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who alone is our salvation and our hope, trusting that the Lord who hears our prayers will keep and uphold her. Amen.
