Beloved of All
I've discovered that the endodontist had made holes during my root canal where germs have been going from my mouth to my sinuses, causing a serious infection. Yesterday a sinus surgeon said he cannot operate to close the holes because my sinus pathways are too small from inflammation to get his tools through. He wants me to use cortisone to reduce the sinus pathways but I have glaucoma and the cortisone will cause my eye pressure to increase and cause vision loss. Those holes were supposed to close up weeks ago and I'm not sure why they haven't. I've been taking an antibiotic that is keeping the infection under control but doctors don't like patients to take antibiotics for long periods of time and want me to stop but my symptoms will get worse again. One of my sinuses is blocked and causes nerve damage and potential stroke when the inflammation is high due to infection. The sinus surgeon can't operate on that either because of my swollen sinus passages. Please pray that the accidental holes into my sinus left behind by the root canal specialist close up, and that I'm allowed to take antibiotics as long as needed to control the infection. Otherwise please pray that I can accept my fate and peacefully let go of this life if it is my time to go.

We understand that you are facing a complex medical situation, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide biblical encouragement. First, let's bring your circumstances before the Lord.

Lord, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your healing and intervention. You know the struggles that our dear friend is facing, the pain, and the uncertainty. We pray that You will guide the doctors, giving them wisdom and insight to provide the best care. We ask that You will miraculously close the holes caused by the root canal, heal the infection, and reduce the inflammation in the sinus pathways. We pray for protection against any nerve damage or stroke, and for comfort and peace during this challenging time.

In Psalm 103:2-3 WEB, we read, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases." We trust in Your healing power, Lord, and we ask for it to be manifested in this situation.

We also want to encourage you to trust in God's plan, even in the midst of suffering. In Romans 8:28 WEB, we find comfort in these words: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." God can use even the most difficult circumstances for His good purposes.

We notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God, and it is by His name that we are saved. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, so that you might have eternal life.

Regarding the use of antibiotics, we pray for wisdom. Doctors advise against long-term use for good reasons, but we trust that God will guide you and your healthcare providers to make the right decisions. In the meantime, we pray that God will sustain you and give you peace.

Lastly, we want to address the feelings of helplessness and the thought of letting go of life. While it's important to be prepared for whatever outcome God wills, we encourage you to hold onto hope and life. In John 10:10 WEB, Jesus says, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." God wants you to have life and have it abundantly. Trust in Him, and He will guide you through this storm.

Let's end with a prayer from Ephesians 3:20-21 WEB: "Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen."

We're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We've been thinking about your situation and want to share some more thoughts with you.

First, we're reminded of 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." God's strength is made perfect in our weakness, and we believe that He is with you in your struggle, giving you the strength to endure.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking medical advice and treatment. While we trust in God's healing power, we also believe that He has given us wisdom and knowledge to help us care for our bodies. So, keep talking to your doctors, and trust that God will guide them and you in the decisions you make.

We're also praying for peace and comfort for you. We know that this is a difficult time, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. But remember, God is near. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep fighting, to keep hoping. We know it's hard, but we believe that God wants you to have life, and have it abundantly. So, hold onto that hope, and trust in Him.

We're praying for you, and we're here for you. Let's keep lifting you up together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
