Beloved of All
Our Father in Heaven, We ask for grace to take hold of one thing without letting go of the other, Ecclesiastes 7:18, to continue to intercede for her full, authentic repentance to life and full trust in Christ and be regenerated, and youngster be saved and graciously filled with the Holy Spirit, Jer 1:5, Lk 1:15, "So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11:13, and thus protected and directed into the love and character of Jesus Christ, nourished on Your Word, 2 Tim 3:15, brought up in the admonition of Yahweh, Eph 6:1-4, respect godly authority, 1 Tim 5:17... Yet as I trust You with this in prayer, grant me the ability to shift more FOCUS on THE NEW and meet pressing needs must needs be at present, Isa 42:9, Isa 43:19, Isa 48:6.

🙏 So we ask You open a door for Heaven, Nearness, and doors to express the overflow of the Holy Spirit to Bible Studies, Prayer Meetings and for the lost to hear the Gospel, kindly work while we keep still, Exodus 14:14, and empower us to glorify You, to image God, which were it possible, we would not ask and trust You for it. I ask for grace to set all things in order, Tit 1:5, strengthen and finish each task, Rev 3:2, and meet every pressing need, Tit 3:14.

🙏 Help our running to be in a way that we might win, 1 Cor 9:24, forgetting what lies behind and pressing toward the upward call, Phil 3:13-14, laying aside encumbrances and diversions that distract us from the primary task of Your call and commission to abide in Your Word and make disciples by propagating all You've commanded, that we might run the race that is personally set out before each of us, Heb 12:1-2... Thank You for the Your love and leadership, the fellowship of abiding in Christ and guidance of The Holy Spirit, John 10:3-4, Rom 8:14, grace to intercede for and forget the past AND for grace to navigate going forward, James 1:5, new evangelism, encouragement, discipleship, fellowship with The Body and Bride of Christ, and formal study, Ecclesiastes 7:18. We ask for protection from temptation, Luke 11:4, sin, Zeph 3:13, evil, Matt 6:13, evil people, 2 Thes 3:2, and the evil one, John 17:15. Thank You in Jesus' Name...

We join you together before our Father in heaven and we thank Him with you for His daily mercies, for we know that His mercies are new every morning, great is His faithfulness Lam 3:23. We praise Him that His compassions do not fail and that we can come boldly to His throne of grace through Jesus Christ alone.

We hear your heart to take hold of the one without letting go of the other Eccl 7:18, to faithfully intercede for your spouse and your youngster while also pressing forward into the new things God is doing. This is a godly and balanced desire and we affirm it. We continue to stand with you in prayer for the repentance and salvation of your wife, for as it is written, Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved Rom 10:1, and we know God is able to graft in again those who have turned aside Rom 11:23. We ask the Lord to grant her repentance leading to life Acts 11:18, that she would be born again, regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and place her full and authentic trust in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and no other way to the Father except through Him John 14:6.

We also lift up your youngster with you, asking as you have that our Father who gives good gifts would give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him Luke 11:13. We pray that this child, known by God before being formed Jer 1:5 and set apart, would be filled with the Holy Spirit even from youth Luke 1:15, be nourished and made wise for salvation through the Scriptures 2 Tim 3:15, and be brought up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord Eph 6:4, learning to honor and respect godly authority 1 Tim 5:17. We pray for angelic protection over your family, for He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways Ps 91:11, and that no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling Ps 91:10, for He promises with long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation Ps 91:16.

And we join you in asking for grace to shift focus to the new while still trusting God with what lies behind. Behold, the former things have happened, and new things do I declare Isa 42:9, and Behold, I will do a new thing, now it springs forth Isa 43:19, and You have heard new things from this time, even hidden things Isa 48:6. We pray that the Lord would open a door for His nearness and for the overflow of the Holy Spirit to Bible studies, prayer meetings, and for the lost to hear the Gospel, for we know that Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still Exod 14:14. We ask Him to empower you to image Him and glorify Him, to set in order the things that remain Tit 1:5, to strengthen and perfect your works before God Rev 3:2, and to be diligent in good works to meet pressing needs Tit 3:14.

We pray that you may run in such a way that you may win the prize 1 Cor 9:24, forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, pressing on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus Phil 3:13-14, laying aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and running with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith Heb 12:1-2. We thank God for His love and leadership, that His sheep hear His voice and He calls them by name and leads them out John 10:3, and that as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God Rom 8:14. If any of us lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach James 1:5, and we ask Him to grant you that wisdom for new evangelism, encouragement, discipleship, fellowship with the Body and Bride of Christ, and for formal study.

We pray together for protection, that He would not bring us into temptation Luke 11:4, that we may be a people who do no unrighteousness and speak no lies Zeph 3:13, that He would deliver us from evil Matt 6:13, deliver us from unreasonable and evil men 2 Thess 3:2, and keep us from the evil one John 17:15.

Father, we thank You for this brother who intercedes with love for his wife and child and who desires to be faithful in the present calling. Keep him abiding in Christ, fill him afresh with Your Holy Spirit, make his way clear, establish the work of his hands, and let Your Word run swiftly through him to many. Let Your will be done in his family as it is in heaven, bring salvation and restoration in Your perfect timing, and let him walk in newness and joy before You. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and only hope, amen.

We have been holding your request before the Lord and thank you for letting us pray with you. We hear the weight you carry, continuing to entrust your spouse and your youngster to God for true repentance, salvation, and His keeping, while also wanting clear focus for the new things and the pressing needs right in front of you.

That tension of holding one without letting go of the other is real, and it makes sense you feel it. Entrusting those you love to His mercy does not have to compete with being faithful today. The Lord is able to keep what you have placed in His hands while He also guides your steps in present duties.

One thing that often helps in this kind of season is giving each part a settled place. You might name the two or three most pressing needs that must be addressed now and bring them one at a time to the Lord and to a trusted pastor or mature believer who knows you, asking for wisdom to set things in order and strength to finish each task. Keeping a simple, set time to intercede for your family can also free your mind to give full attention to the work and open doors for Bible studies, prayer, and sharing the gospel that you are asking God for.

We are asking the Holy Spirit to keep empowering you for service, grounding you in truth, and forming Christlike character day by day as you abide and follow His leading.

Father, we lift this dear family to You. Draw his spouse and child to Yourself, keep them under Your care and guide them into Your love and Word. Give our brother daily mercy, clarity to order what needs ordering, strength to complete what is before him, open doors to make You known, and protection from temptation and evil as he keeps looking to Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen.
