We see your heart overflowing with gratitude for God’s daily mercies and faithfulness, as Lamentations 3:23 so beautifully declares: "They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Your request reflects a deep burden for the salvation of family, the effective witness to friends, and the edification of those who have strayed, all while seeking God’s grace to balance the old and the new, holding fast to intercession while embracing the fresh works He is doing. This is a holy tension, one that Scripture itself affirms in Ecclesiastes 7:18: "It is good that you should take hold of this. Yes, also from that don’t withdraw your hand; for he who fears God will come out of them all."

Yet we must gently but firmly address an area where your prayer could be strengthened. While you invoke the name of the Father and reference the Holy Spirit, the name of Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), the only name by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), is notably absent in your closing. This is not a mere oversight; it is a matter of eternal consequence. John 14:6 makes it clear: "Jesus said to him, β€˜I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’" Without Christ, there is no access to the Father, no forgiveness of sins, and no hope of salvation. We urge you to anchor every prayer, every plea, and every request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through His shed blood and resurrection that we have the boldness to approach God’s throne (Hebrews 4:16). Let us never take for granted the privilege of coming before the Father in Christ’s name, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

Now, let us lift your requests before the Lord with the authority and power of Jesus’ name:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, thanking You for Your unchanging faithfulness and daily mercies. We rejoice in Your promise that Your compassions never fail, and we stand on the truth that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Lord, we lift up the salvation of family members who do not yet know You. You declare in Romans 10:1 that Your heart’s desire is for all to be saved, and so we intercede for them, asking that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, soften their hearts, and draw them to Yourself. Break the chains of unbelief, Father, and let them experience the regenerating power of Your Holy Spirit, as You promised in Ezekiel 36:26: "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."

We also pray for the young one mentioned, that You would fulfill Your word in Jeremiah 1:5 and Luke 1:15, setting them apart from the womb and filling them with Your Holy Spirit. Protect them from the snares of this world, and guide them into a deep, abiding relationship with Jesus Christ. Nourish them with Your Word, that they may grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). Raise them up to walk in the fear of the Lord, respecting godly authority and embracing the call to holiness.

Father, we ask for Your grace to shift our focus as You lead us into new things, just as Isaiah 42:9 and 43:19 declare. You are always doing a new work, and we do not want to be so consumed with the past that we miss what You are doing in the present. Yet we also recognize the wisdom in Ecclesiastes 7:18, that we must not let go of what You have called us to hold fast. Give us discernment to know when to intercede for the lost and when to step forward into the new opportunities You are opening. Open doors for the Gospel, Lord, as You promised in Revelation 3:7-8, and let us walk through them with boldness and humility. Shield us with Your favor, as Psalm 5:12 declares, and fill us with the full knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding (Colossians 1:9-10).

We pray for the grace to set things in order, as Titus 1:5 instructs, and to finish the tasks You have assigned to us. Strengthen us to meet every pressing need, that we may not be found idle or unfruitful in the work of the Lord (2 Peter 1:8). Help us to run the race set before us with endurance, laying aside every weight and the sin that so easily entangles us (Hebrews 12:1). Let our lives be a living testimony of Your love, that our love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that we may approve what is excellent and be pure and blameless for the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-11).

Lord, we ask for Your protection over us and those we love. Deliver us from temptation (Luke 11:4), keep us from sin (Zephaniah 3:13), and guard us from the evil one (John 17:15). Shield us from evil people who would seek to harm us or lead us astray (2 Thessalonians 3:2), and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Finally, Father, we ask that You would fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that we may overflow with Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Let us be a light in this dark world, pointing others to Jesus Christ, the author and perfecter of our faith. May our lives bring glory to Your name, and may we never forget that it is only through Jesus that we have access to You. We pray all these things in His precious and powerful name. Amen.

Beloved, we encourage you to press on in the work God has called you to, remembering that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith, and let His love compel you to share the Gospel with boldness and compassion. The fields are white for harvest (John 4:35), and the Lord of the harvest is calling workers into His vineyard. Will you answer the call?

We hear the two-way pull in what you have shared: the long ache for this woman and child to come to Christ, and the real call to give yourself fully to the new work and pressing needs already in front of you. It is not a failure to feel that tension. You are asking for the very thing God gives freely, wisdom to hold what is still unfinished and courage to step into what is new.

One steadying step may be to set a short, fixed time each day for this particular intercession, perhaps five or ten quiet minutes where you name the woman and the child before the Lord, then leave them in his care. After that, when the burden rises during your duties, you can pray a single sentence and keep going, rather than carrying the whole weight with you every hour. If possible, invite one trusted believer to share the intercession with you; it is hard to hold such a long longing alone.

Father, thank you for this heart that intercedes and serves. Give the grace to hold both without being crushed. We ask for the woman to come to full repentance and genuine trust in Jesus Christ, and for the child to be saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, protected, and nourished on your Word. Open the doors you want opened for the gospel, and give clear wisdom and steady strength for the duties of today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The Lord has laid upon your heart a weight of supplication, and He who gave the burden will also give the strength to bear it and the answer in His own time. You have spread before the throne many petitions, and we join with you in them, for the prayer of faith avails much.

Let us not be slow to remember the simplicity of the gospel. To those who labor and are heavy laden, the word comes still, β€œCome unto Me, and I will give you rest.” We must not fall into Martha’s mistake, cumbered about much serving, and forget that our first call is to come and receive from Christ, not merely to bring to Him our lists of duties and anxieties. Yet your intercession for that soul and for the little one is precious in His sight. Plead the promise, β€œLook unto Me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” The ark still receives all who come. The gates of the city of refuge are never shut, neither by night nor by day. Let not your heart grow weary in praying, for He who plucks brands from the burning has not lost His power to save the chief of sinners, nor to draw the young heart early to Himself.

And what of the new things set before you? You have asked for grace to take hold of the one without letting go of the other, and that is a wisdom from above. It is good to use the old trophies from past conflicts against new foes. The old story and the new song belong together, for we have new mercies to celebrate and therefore must have new songs. Yet the cry is still β€œForward! Forward! Forward!” To the cross, to the throne, to the open door. The Lord who opens and no man shuts will make a way for the gospel and for the edification of His flock. Do not fear to press onward, but press onward in the strength of the Spirit, not in the strength of anxious striving. The race is not to the swift, but to those who lay aside every encumbrance and look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

Let us pray together that the Lord would open the door for His word, that He would grant wisdom and full knowledge of His will, that love may abound more and more in all discernment, and that the evil one may be kept at a distance. He who has begun a good work in you will perform it unto the day of Christ. The gospel of the grace of God is worth living for and worth dying for, and the least service done in His name is not forgotten. Go forward, then, with a quiet heart, casting every care upon Him, for He cares for you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in giving thanks for the daily mercies and faithfulness of the Lord, for His compassions are new every morning and great is His faithfulness. We praise Him that His mercies have sustained you and that He remains faithful to establish you and guard you from the evil one.

We hear your desire to hold both things together before God, to take hold of one without letting go of the other, and we pray that He will give you grace to do so with wisdom. We agree with you in continuing to intercede for the salvation of your family and for all who are lost, that they may come to know salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. We pray that God would grant to her a full and authentic repentance that leads to life, true faith in Christ, regeneration by the Holy Spirit, and a walk nourished by His Word. We pray also for the child, that the Lord would protect and direct him, save him, fill him with His Spirit, and cause him to be brought up in the instruction and admonition of the Lord, learning to honor God and to respect godly authority, growing in the love and character of Christ.

At the same time we ask God to give you grace for the pressing duties now set before you, to set things in order and to strengthen and finish each task He has given you. We pray that you may shift your main focus to the new things He is doing, as He promised to make known new things and to make a way where there was no way, while still faithfully remembering before Him those for whom you have long prayed. Christ Himself ever lives to make intercession for His people, and as we join in that intercession we do not remain idle but work together with His grace, doing what He commands and learning to meet pressing needs and to care for the flock among you which He purchased with His own blood.

We ask the Lord to open doors for the gospel that no one can shut, to give you nearness to Himself and an overflow of the Holy Spirit in Bible studies and prayer meetings and in every witness to the lost, and to work on your behalf as you keep still and trust Him to fight for you. May He cover you with favor as with a shield, fill you with the full knowledge of His will in all wisdom and understanding, and cause your love to abound still more with insight, so that you may walk worthily of your calling, run the race set before you with endurance, laying aside every encumbrance, forgetting what lies behind and pressing toward the upward call in Christ, and running in such a way that you may win.

We pray for protection from temptation and sin and evil, from evil people and from the evil one, and that the Lord would direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ. May He grant you grace both to intercede for the past and to navigate what lies ahead with clear minds, to abide in His Word, to make disciples, and to enjoy fellowship with the Body of Christ, all for His glory.

We commit you and those you love to the faithful Lord who hears and saves to the uttermost those who come to God through Him. In the name of Jesus we pray.

Your thankfulness for the daily mercies and faithfulness of God is right and good, for His compassions are new every morning and His faithfulness is great as Lamentations 3:23 declares. That is the ground for everything else you are asking.

You have named the tension well from Ecclesiastes 7:18, to take hold of one thing without letting go of the other. Scripture calls us to both. We are to continue to intercede for others with the heart of Romans 10:1, that they would be saved, and at the same time we are to give ourselves to the pressing duties and new things God is putting before us as Isaiah 42:9 and 43:19 describe. Grace is needed for both, and God is able to give it.

Your continued prayer for her and for the child is in keeping with the intercession we see in Paul and even more in Jesus Himself who lives to intercede for us. Pray on for authentic repentance that leads to life, for regeneration and true trust in Christ alone for salvation, for the child to be saved and to be filled with the Holy Spirit and kept and directed into the love and character of Jesus, nourished in the Word as 2 Timothy 3:15 teaches, and brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord as Ephesians 6 directs, learning to respect godly authority. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and real faith will want to walk in obedience to Him. That includes His design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. When a person truly comes under conviction by hearing the Word, the response is to turn from what is not pleasing to God, even when it is costly. Pray that any such turning would be done with a willing and joyful heart unto the Lord.

At the same time, do not live in the past. God has sealed the past for those who are in Christ. He has erased the charges and justified you, so that no one can bring a charge against you. Too many remain under guilt by constantly revisiting what God has put behind them. Past experience only has value when it is translated into a present walk with God. The call now is to forget what lies behind and press toward the upward call in Christ as Philippians 3:13-14 says, to lay aside every encumbrance and run the race set before you with endurance looking to Jesus as Hebrews 12:1-2 teaches, and to run in a way that you may win as 1 Corinthians 9:24 exhorts. That means examining yourself as Scripture says to let a man examine himself, judging what is wrong in your own life rather than searching for what is wrong in others, and presenting your body as a living sacrifice which is your reasonable service.

For the present duties, take heed to yourself and to your teaching as 1 Timothy 4:16 says. Grace to set things in order as Titus 1:5 directs, to strengthen what remains and to meet pressing needs as Titus 3:14 instructs, and to care for the flock among you as Acts 20:28 charges. One practical help from the early church is that the apostles appointed faithful men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, to oversee practical distributions so they could give themselves continually to the Word and to prayer. You cannot do everything alone. Share the load with faithful people so the Word and prayer remain central. Seek sound speech that cannot be condemned rather than what merely entertains itching ears, and overcome evil with good.

Keep asking the Lord to open doors that no one can shut as Revelation 3:7-8 promises, to work on your behalf while you stand still and trust Him as Exodus 14:14 shows, to cover you with favor as a shield as Psalm 5:12 says, to fill you with wisdom and full knowledge of His will as Colossians 1:9-12 prays, and to cause your love to abound still more with knowledge and discernment as Philippians 1:9-11 describes. Let your prayers be framed with worship and thanksgiving, letting your requests be made known to God, and stay in fellowship with Christ where you hear His voice and are led by the Spirit as John 10 and Romans 8 teach.

May the Lord protect you from temptation as Luke 11:4 asks, from sin and evil as Matthew 6:13 prays, from evil people as 2 Thessalonians 3:2 says, and from the evil one as John 17:15 pleads. May He grant you wisdom for the way forward as James 1:5 promises, and establish you in the present work of evangelism, encouragement, discipleship, fellowship with the body of Christ, and study of the Word.
