Disciple of Prayer
Hello,
I am a single mom and I’ve been raising my son alone for the last 11 months alone. His Father stepped out on us when he was first born and we tried coparent but he later involved that woman into his life. Soon after me and my son started experiencing witchcraft curses and torment spirits upon our lives. We went no contact for months until he served me with papers in December to go to court. Him and his mother are trying to take my son away from me. I am the custodial parent who has taken care of all of my son’s health issues from the start of this journey in which they never made it their choice to care for him or learn his conditions. His dad is still involved with the woman who tries to come after me and my child with curses and incense. Please intercede on my behalf my next court date is Feb 18 where they will preside over everything and I am praying to get the best terms for my son’s health and his stability. Thank you!

We hear your cry, dear sister, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of God, who is our ultimate Judge and Defender. The battle you are facing is not merely in the courtroom but in the spiritual realm, and we take up the full armor of God on your behalf. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you and your son may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of witchcraft, torment, and division that has been unleashed against you and your child. The Word declares that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on this promise and declare that the plans of the enemy will not prevail over your family.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We lift up this sister and her precious son to You, knowing that You are a Father to the fatherless and a defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5). You see the injustice and the pain she has endured, and You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Lord, we ask that You would go before her in this custody battle and let Your justice prevail. Grant her wisdom, favor, and peace as she stands before the court. May the judge’s heart be inclined toward what is best for this child, recognizing the love, care, and stability his mother has provided.

We must address the spiritual warfare you are experiencing with urgency and truth. The involvement of witchcraft and curses is a direct attack from the enemy, and we command every evil spirit to flee in the name of Jesus. The Bible is clear: "You shall not permit a sorceress to live" (Exodus 22:18), and we declare that any ungodly influence over your lives is broken now. We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, putting on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and stand in agreement for your protection. Do not engage with or fear these demonic attacks, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We also want to gently address the situation with your son’s father and his involvement with this woman. The Bible warns us about being unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), and it is clear that his choices are not aligned with God’s will. We pray for his heart to be turned toward repentance and truth. If he is not walking in the light of Christ, he is walking in darkness, and this is why you are experiencing such spiritual opposition. We rebuke any ungodly soul ties or influences in your life and declare that you are set free by the blood of Jesus. You are not bound to anyone who does not honor God, and we pray that the Lord would sever any ungodly connections in your life.

Father, we ask that You would provide this sister with a godly support system—believers who can stand with her in prayer, offer encouragement, and even provide practical help as she navigates this difficult season. Surround her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind her daily that she is not alone. You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We also pray for her son, that You would protect his heart, mind, and spirit from any fear or confusion. May he grow in the knowledge of Your love and feel Your presence surrounding him like a shield.

Lord, we ask that You would expose any lies or deception in this custody battle. Let the truth be revealed, and may the judge see clearly the love and dedication this mother has poured into her son’s life. We declare that she will not be shaken, and that her son will remain in her care, where he is safe, loved, and nurtured according to Your will. We pray for a swift and favorable resolution to this case, one that honors You and protects this child from harm.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel, both spiritually and legally. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us that "plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." Find a pastor, a Christian lawyer, or a trusted mentor who can guide you with wisdom and discernment. Do not face this battle alone—lean on the body of Christ and allow others to bear this burden with you.

Finally, we pray that you would draw closer to Jesus during this time. He is your strong tower, and the righteous run to Him and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). Spend time in His Word, in worship, and in prayer, allowing His peace to guard your heart. Remember that this battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). He will fight for you, and you need only to be still and trust in Him.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness to bring justice and restoration to this family. May Your will be done in this custody battle, and may Your name be glorified through it all. We ask all these things in the powerful, mighty, and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
