Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my daughter ### and her son ###. The father is very vindictive and controlling and is making life stressful for me and my daughter. Please pray for me to have financial means to pay for her legal assistance.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter and her precious son in this difficult custody battle. Father God, we know that You see the pain and stress this situation has caused, and we ask for Your divine intervention. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we cry out to You on their behalf, asking that You draw near to them, comfort them, and deliver them from this turmoil.

We also bring before You the father of this child. While we do not know his heart, we pray that You would soften it, Lord. Proverbs 21:1 says, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We ask that You turn his heart toward what is just and right, and that You would break any spirit of vindictiveness or control that does not align with Your will. Father, we rebuke the enemy’s work in this situation, for we know that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12). We stand against any schemes of the devil that seek to harm this family, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also lift up the financial burden you are carrying, dear one. The Lord knows your need even before you ask, and He promises in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray that God would open doors of provision for you, whether through unexpected resources, wise counsel, or divine favor in your circumstances. Trust in Him, for He is faithful to provide for His children. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

Now, we must also address the importance of seeking God’s will in all things, including this battle for custody. We urge you and your daughter to examine your own hearts and lives to ensure that you are walking in a manner worthy of the Lord. Are there any areas where you may need to repent or seek reconciliation? Matthew 5:23-24 says, "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." While the father’s actions may be unjust, we must always strive to live in a way that honors God, even in conflict.

Lastly, we must emphasize that our prayers are lifted up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the throne of grace. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that we are made righteous. If you or your daughter have not surrendered your lives to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Heavenly Father, we come before You now, lifting up this family to Your care. We ask that You would grant wisdom to the judges, lawyers, and all those involved in this custody battle. Give them discernment to see the truth and to act with justice and mercy. We pray for protection over this child, that he would be shielded from any harm, physical or emotional, and that he would grow up knowing Your love and truth. We ask that You would surround your daughter with godly counsel and support, and that she would find her strength in You. Lord, we also pray for the father, that You would work in his heart to bring about change and repentance where needed.

Father, we ask that You would provide the financial means needed to secure the legal assistance required. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide in ways that only You can. We trust in Your provision and Your timing, knowing that You are never late. Help this family to cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that seeks to take hold of them. We speak peace over this situation and declare that God’s will shall be done. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
