Curse of poverty

Beloved of All
Prayer to be free from the curse of poverty that every covenant be broken and every altar be tore apart. Prayer that Every spirit that had legal right to me through this curse Go! Delay stagnation backwardness hindrance slumber.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of poverty and the spiritual oppression that so often accompanies it. The Word of God declares in **2 Corinthians 8:9 (WEB)**, *"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich."* This is not a promise of material wealth for selfish gain, but a declaration of Christ’s provision for His children—spiritual abundance, sufficiency in all things, and freedom from the bondage of lack.

First, we must address the foundation of this prayer. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, then no covenant can be truly broken, and no altar can be torn down in His name. **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (**Romans 10:9-10**), then we urge you to do so now. Without Christ, there is no authority to break curses, no power to overcome spiritual strongholds, and no access to the Father’s provision.

Now, let us stand together in faith, declaring the truth of God’s Word over this situation. The curse of poverty is not from the Lord—it is a tool of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy (**John 10:10**). But Jesus came to give us life, and life abundantly! We rebuke every spirit of lack, delay, stagnation, backwardness, hindrance, and slumber in the mighty name of Jesus! **Proverbs 10:22 (WEB)** says, *"The Lord’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it."* We declare that every legal right the enemy has claimed over you is null and void in Jesus’ name! Every altar of poverty raised against you is torn down by the blood of the Lamb!

We pray now, Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Savior and Redeemer. We come against every generational curse of poverty that has been passed down through bloodlines, and we break it now by the power of the cross! **Galatians 3:13-14 (WEB)** declares, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,' that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."* We claim that blessing over this life—freedom, provision, and divine favor!

Lord, we ask You to open the windows of heaven over this situation (**Malachi 3:10**). Let Your abundance flow like a river, washing away every trace of lack. We command every spirit of mammon, greed, and financial bondage to flee now in Jesus’ name! **Philippians 4:19 (WEB)** assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We stand on this promise, believing that You are a God who provides—not just enough, but more than enough!

We also address the heart behind this prayer. Father, search this one’s heart and reveal any areas of unbelief, fear, or idolatry that may be hindering Your blessing. **Deuteronomy 8:18 (WEB)** reminds us, *"But you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today."* Wealth is not evil, but the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil (**1 Timothy 6:10**). We pray for wisdom, stewardship, and a heart that seeks first Your kingdom (**Matthew 6:33**).

We break every word curse spoken over this life—whether by parents, relatives, or even self-inflicted. **Proverbs 18:21 (WEB)** says, *"Death and life are in the power of the tongue."* We declare life over this situation! No longer will words of lack, failure, or impossibility have power here. Instead, we speak blessings, favor, and divine increase!

We also rebuke any spirit of laziness or entitlement. **Proverbs 10:4 (WEB)** warns, *"He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth."* Father, stir up a spirit of diligence, excellence, and faithfulness in this one’s life. Let them be a good steward of every resource You entrust to them.

Finally, we declare that this is a season of breakthrough! Every chain is broken, every curse is revoked, and every altar is destroyed in the name of Jesus! **Isaiah 61:1-3 (WEB)** proclaims, *"The Lord’s Spirit is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor... to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified."*

We stand in agreement with this prayer, believing that God is doing a new thing (**Isaiah 43:19**). No weapon formed against you will prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**), and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you will condemn (**Isaiah 54:17**). We declare financial breakthrough, divine connections, and supernatural provision in Jesus’ name!

Now, let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness, Your provision, and Your power to break every chain. We stand on the authority of Your Word and declare that every curse of poverty over this life is broken now! Every legal right the enemy has claimed is revoked by the blood of Jesus! We tear down every altar of lack, stagnation, and delay, and we command every spirit of poverty to flee in Jesus’ name!

Lord, we ask You to open the floodgates of heaven and pour out Your abundance. Let Your blessings chase this one down and overtake them (**Deuteronomy 28:2**). We declare that they are blessed in the city and blessed in the field, blessed when they come in and blessed when they go out (**Deuteronomy 28:3-6**). We speak life, favor, and increase over their finances, their career, their business, and every area of their life.

Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment to steward Your blessings well. Let them be a conduit of Your love, generosity, and kingdom work. Remove every trace of fear, unbelief, or idolatry, and replace it with faith, trust, and a heart that seeks You above all else.

We thank You, Lord, for Your goodness and Your faithfulness. We believe that this is a season of breakthrough, and we receive it by faith. We declare that the curse is broken, the altars are destroyed, and the blessings of Abraham are manifesting now in Jesus’ name! Amen!"*

Stand firm in faith, beloved. The enemy may try to whisper lies of doubt or delay, but do not be moved. **Hebrews 10:35-36 (WEB)** encourages us, *"Therefore don’t throw away your boldness, which has a great reward. For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise."* Keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (**Hebrews 12:2**), and walk in the victory He has already secured for you!

We stand with you in this prayer, dear friend, lifting up this burden of poverty and the spiritual oppression that often accompanies it. We believe that God is a God of abundance, and He desires for us to live in abundance, not lack. As we stand in agreement, let's declare together:

"Every spirit of poverty, stagnation, delay, hindrance, and slumber, we rebuke you in the mighty name of Jesus! We break every legal right the enemy has claimed over this situation, and we tear down every altar of poverty raised against this life. We declare that every curse of poverty is broken now, and the blessings of Abraham are manifesting in this life, in Jesus' name!"

Let's also remember to thank God for His goodness and faithfulness. He is always working on our behalf, and we trust that He is doing a new thing in this situation. Let's stand firm in faith, believing that the curse is broken, the altars are destroyed, and the blessings of abundance are flowing now.

Amen!
