Disciple of Prayer
Praise God. My job has become insufferably toxic. It provides insurance for myself and my wife and our baby that is on the way, it pays our bills and feeds us. It is run by corrupt individuals who love self and money and power. I am begging the Lord to open a new door for me that still provides all we need. There are things looming on the horizon, possibilities that could come. I am praying they come swiftly. My job is an environment that reduces my down and sucks away my strength. It makes sin easy to fall into and I know the enemy is waging war against me through this place. I keep falling into anger and sinful avenues out of pain. I know my actions are my own, but my circumstances are an irritation that is slowly killing me. Please pray that God comes to my aid in force, pray that he battles the enemy back and gives me a respite. Pray he turns the tide of the war raging against me. I ask this all in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We stand with you in this season of spiritual warfare, brother, and we lift you up before the Lord with urgency and faith. You have rightly recognized that this battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness that seek to wear you down, tempt you into sin, and steal your joy and provision. We praise God that you are turning to Him in this trial, for He is your refuge, strength, and deliverer. The fact that you are crying out to Him in the name of Jesus is a testament to your faith, and we know that He hears you.

The toxicity of your workplace is a heavy burden, especially as you carry the responsibility of providing for your wife and unborn child. It is a noble thing to labor for your family, and we honor your commitment to them. Yet we also recognize the danger of an environment that fuels anger, temptation, and spiritual exhaustion. The apostle Paul warns us in 1 Corinthians 15:33, *"Do not be deceived! ‘Evil company corrupts good morals.’"* While your presence there may be a light in the darkness, we must also heed the wisdom of Jesus, who said in Matthew 10:16, *"Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."* There is a time to endure and a time to flee, and we pray earnestly that God will make the path clear for you—whether through a swift and miraculous door of escape or by granting you supernatural strength and wisdom to navigate this season without compromising your faith or integrity.

Your admission of struggling with anger and sin is a sign of humility, and we encourage you to continue bringing these struggles before the Lord. James 4:7-8 reminds us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."* The enemy seeks to exploit your pain, but God is faithful to provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). We urge you to guard your heart diligently, for Proverbs 4:23 tells us, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."* When anger rises, pause and cry out to the Holy Spirit for self-control. When temptation knocks, flee to the Word of God and the presence of your Heavenly Father. You are not powerless—*"for God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7).

We also want to remind you of the promise in Psalm 37:25: *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* God sees your need, and He is not blind to the corruption around you. He is the one who opens doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and who provides for His children in ways we cannot foresee. Trust in His timing, even as you pray for swift deliverance. Remember Joseph, who endured slavery and prison before God exalted him to a position of authority. Remember Daniel, who remained faithful in a pagan government and saw God’s hand move mightily. Your story is not over, and God is preparing something for you that will bring Him glory.

Now, let us pray together over you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is in the midst of a fierce spiritual battle. Lord, You see the toxicity of his workplace, the corruption of those in authority, and the toll it is taking on his spirit, his family, and his walk with You. We ask You, Father, to rise up as a mighty warrior on his behalf. Rebuke the enemy who seeks to devour him through anger, temptation, and despair. Let every scheme of Satan be exposed and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus. Lord, You have promised that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we claim that promise now.

Father, we ask for divine intervention in his employment. Open doors that no man can shut, doors that lead to godly provision, peace, and a workplace where Your name is honored. If there are opportunities on the horizon, Lord, accelerate them by Your sovereign hand. Provide for him and his family in ways that surpass his expectations, that Your name may be glorified. Give him wisdom to know when to speak, when to act, and when to wait in silence. Clothe him in Your armor—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:10-18)—that he may stand firm against every attack.

Lord, we also pray for his heart. Heal the wounds caused by this season of strife. Replace his anger with Your peace, his frustration with Your joy, and his weariness with Your strength. Remind him that You are his Provider, his Protector, and his Redeemer. Let him sense Your presence in a tangible way, filling him with hope and perseverance. Surround him with brothers and sisters in Christ who can encourage him, pray with him, and hold him accountable.

Finally, Father, we pray for his marriage and his unborn child. Protect his family from the spiritual fallout of this battle. Let his wife see Your faithfulness through this trial, and let their bond grow stronger as they trust in You together. Bless this child in the womb, Lord, and let this season be a testimony of Your goodness that they will one day share with their children.

We declare victory over this situation in the name of Jesus. Let the tide turn, Lord. Let Your will be done swiftly and powerfully. We thank You in advance for Your deliverance, for we know that You are faithful and that You hear the cries of Your children. May Your name be praised in his life, his family, and his workplace—whether through his continued presence there or his miraculous removal from it.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Brother, we exhort you to keep pressing into the Lord. Spend time in His Word daily, even if it’s just a few verses. Worship Him in the midst of the storm. Fast if you are led to, and seek the prayer support of your local church body. You are not alone in this fight. We are standing with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is fighting for you. Stay vigilant, stay hopeful, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. He will not fail you.

We're right there with you, brother. We feel your burden, and we're lifting you up before the Lord. Your situation is a reminder that sometimes, the most Christ-like thing to do is to endure, but it's also important to be wise as serpents and know when to flee. We're praying for God to open a new door for you, one that still provides for your family but also allows you to flourish spiritually. We're asking the Lord to give you supernatural strength and wisdom to navigate this season without compromise. And we're claiming Psalm 37:25 over you - that God will not forsake you, nor will He allow your children to beg for bread. Trust in His timing, even as you pray for swift deliverance. You're not alone in this fight, and the Lord of Heaven's Armies is fighting for you. Stay vigilant, stay hopeful, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He will not fail you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
