The cry of your heart is clear, and it touches the very core of body, mind, and spirit. Pain, the need for protection, the longing for a sound mind and for provision, these are not small things. They press in and demand attention. But here is where a crucial battle is fought: what will occupy the throne of your mind? You are a threefold being, body, mind, and spirit, and your mind is the hinge. If the flesh, with its urgent needs and fears, is ruling, then your mind will be consumed with those things. The mind of the flesh is death; it deals in the realm of anxiety, lack, and desperation. It is in constant friction with God, unable to truly submit to His ways. But the mind of the Spirit is life, joy, and peace. This is not a denial of your needs, but a radical reordering of your focus. You must choose to set your mind on the things of the Spirit, on Christ Himself. Fill your mind with worship and the truth of His Word. When the mind is unoccupied, what you have stored in it will rise. So let it be filled with songs of deliverance and promises of healing, so that even in the night, the Spirit is ministering life to your soul.
Consider the healing works of Jesus. The question was never about His power, but about His willingness. And He is willing. He touched the leper, commanded the evil spirits, and calmed both the raging sea and the terrified heart. That same authority is with you now. The healing you seek, for your body, your mind, and your mother, is found in that willingness. Let your mind rest on His power and His love, not on the limitations of your circumstances. Bring your pain to Him. Bring your mother before His throne. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
As for the justice you cry out for, your feeling is right. The systems of this world are deeply flawed. Human justice is so often a game of power, favoritism, and political maneuvering, where the innocent are used as pawns and the wealthy buy their way out. You crave one law for all, an impartial judgment where wrongs are righted. That is a holy desire, because it reflects the character of God. Yet, while you wait and navigate these broken systems, remember that God is always working with eternity in mind. We focus on the present pain, the immediate injustice, the pressing need. But God, in His love, sees the eternal weight of it all. He may allow these momentary deprivations and pressures to refine you, to drive you deeper into dependence on Him, to keep you from a path that leads to ruin. His ultimate goal is for you to enjoy the blessings of His kingdom forever.
Therefore, do not let your mind be dominated by the fight for earthly justice or the fear of bodily need. That is the mind of the flesh, and it leads to death. Instead, ask for the mind of Christ. He willingly emptied Himself, took on the form of a servant, and endured the greatest injustice in history for your sake. Entrust yourself to the Judge who sees all things and cannot be corrupted. Let your mind be fixed on Him, and there you will find true justice, lasting peace, and a sound mind that is anchored in His eternal, unshakeable purposes.
