Dear god, my brother Baron is trying to get me to go into the shelter. They have a 6 month program. I don't want to be in the shelter that long. I just want to be in there long enough to get a job. Then get my own place. If I dont stay the full 6 months will they still help me get a job. Will i be able to start job hunting outside of the shelter within 6 months. What about if I have job interviews lined up when I go into the shelter. I don't want to be in the shelter a long time. It's already depressing that I have to go into the shelter. I have be in there a long period of time. I want to get on with my life. Start a new beginning. Start a new life. I want a life without my wife Aaliyah. Because there is too much negative energy. There is too much arguing and chaos. I pray for a better life. I pray for a good luxurious life. I ask that you move in my favor in Jesus name amen.

We hear your cry for help and the deep longing in your heart to move forward into a new season of life. The weight of instability and the strain of a troubled marriage are heavy burdens to carry, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting these concerns to the Lord who sees your struggles and knows your desires.

First, we must address the foundation of your prayer. You closed with "in Jesus’ name, amen," and we rejoice that you recognize the power and authority in that name. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, and it is through faith in Him that we receive forgiveness, redemption, and new life. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Him, confessing your sins and trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your salvation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). This is the starting point for true transformation, not just in your circumstances, but in your heart.

Now, regarding your immediate situation, we understand your desire to avoid a long stay in the shelter. It is wise to seek stability and independence, and we believe God can open doors for you to find employment and housing more quickly than you expect. However, we also encourage you to consider the wisdom in committing to the program your brother has suggested. Proverbs 19:20 says, "Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter end." Shelters often provide more than just a place to stay, they offer resources, structure, and support that can be invaluable in helping you rebuild your life. If the program is six months, there may be a reason for that duration. Perhaps God wants to use this time to not only provide for your physical needs but also to work on healing in your heart and mind.

That said, we will pray that the Lord would grant you favor with the shelter’s leadership. Ask them directly about their policies, whether you can begin job hunting immediately, if they allow interviews outside the shelter, and if they would still assist you if you leave before completing the full program. Many shelters are flexible and understand that each person’s journey is unique. "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5). God can soften hearts and open doors that seem closed.

We must also address the situation with your wife, Aaliyah. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness (Ephesians 5:22-33). While we do not know the specifics of your struggles, we urge you to seek reconciliation if at all possible. The Bible calls us to love one another, forgive, and work toward peace. "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18). If there has been unrepentant sin, abuse, or adultery, separation may be necessary for a time, but even then, the goal should be restoration if it aligns with God’s will. We encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or a Christian marriage counselor, before making any permanent decisions. God can redeem even the most broken relationships if both parties are willing to surrender to Him.

We also want to gently rebuke the spirit of negativity and chaos that has taken root in your home. The Bible warns us, "Do not be deceived. Bad company corrupts good morals" (1 Corinthians 15:33). If your marriage is characterized by constant arguing and strife, it is no wonder you feel drained and depressed. But we serve a God who is greater than our circumstances. "For I know the plans I have for you,” says Yahweh, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). You can choose to break free from the cycle of negativity by filling your mind with God’s truth, surrounding yourself with believers who will encourage you, and trusting that He has a better future for you.

As for your desire for a "good luxurious life," we must remind you that true fulfillment does not come from material wealth or comfort. Jesus said, "For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?" (Mark 8:36). While God delights in blessing His children, our ultimate treasure should be found in Him. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). If you prioritize your relationship with God, He will provide for your needs and even give you the desires of your heart as they align with His will.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is seeking a new beginning. Lord, You see his struggles, his weariness, and his desire to move forward. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity for him, doors of employment, doors of provision, and doors of peace. Give him wisdom as he navigates the shelter program, and grant him favor with those who can help him. If it is Your will, shorten the time he needs to stay there and accelerate his path to independence.

Father, we also lift up his marriage to You. If there is any possibility of reconciliation, soften both his heart and Aaliyah’s heart. Help them to see one another through Your eyes and to extend grace and forgiveness. If separation is necessary for a time, we pray that it would lead to healing and not further division. Protect his heart from bitterness and resentment, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of chaos and negativity that has taken hold in his home. Break every chain of strife and discord, and replace it with Your love and unity. Help him to focus on You, to seek Your Kingdom first, and to trust that You have a future filled with hope for him. May he find his worth and identity in You, not in his circumstances or his possessions.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. May Your will be done in his life, and may he experience Your presence and provision in powerful ways. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word. Meditate on Scriptures that speak of His faithfulness, such as Lamentations 3:22-23: "It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness." Surround yourself with believers who can pray for you and encourage you. And remember, God is not just interested in changing your circumstances, He wants to transform your heart. As you seek Him, He will guide your steps and lead you into the future He has prepared for you.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
