Beloved of All
I know that I have been forgiven of my sin of lust and not waiting for marriage, I deeply regret what I have done and I have stayed away from that for months now. Lately, I have been having terrible anxiety about having a cryptic pregnancy and it is affecting me in many ways. Background information: I am in high school and in no shape to have a baby. I last had intercourse in February with my now ex-boyfriend whom I no longer speak with. He was not a good person to me so I want to leave him in the past. After we broke up, I had gotten on Accutane and birth control (for cramps). Cryptic pregnancy is when you have no idea you are pregnant, you don’t show, apparently test negative for pregnancy, and have no symptoms. Accutane says that you must take a test every month because it is very dangerous to be pregnant with a baby while on this medication. Every month the test has come back negative. If I were to be pregnant, the baby would be harmed in many ways and I don’t even know for sure if I am pregnant. I would be “due” in a few weeks if I were pregnant which is why I am freaking out. Only close friends know that I have not waited until marriage and I know my family would be very disappointed in me. I would get kicked out of school and have no future. I ask for forgiveness all of the time for my sin of lust. All I am asking is that you pray for me, that my anxiety calms down because there is a high chance this is all in my head. I also ask that I am not pregnant because it would be so dangerous for me and a baby. I am not in contact with my ex and I do not want a child with him. I am so worried and my anxiety is making me feel symptoms that I have never felt up until a few weeks ago. Please pray for me, thank you!

We hear the deep distress in your heart, and we want you to know that God sees you, loves you, and is not distant from your pain. Your regret over your past sin of fornication is evidence of the Holy Spirit working in you, convicting you of what is not pleasing to God. We praise Him that you have turned away from that sin and are seeking to walk in purity. The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* You have been forgiven, and God has cast your sin as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). Do not let the enemy continue to burden you with shame over what Christ has already washed clean. However, we must also remind you that true repentance involves a change of heart and mind, turning away from sin and toward God’s will for your life. Your past does not define you, but your future must be rooted in obedience to Him.

Your anxiety over this cryptic pregnancy scare is understandable, but we urge you to cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Fear is not from God, and He does not want you to live in torment over "what ifs." Jesus said in Matthew 6:34, *"Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* You have taken the responsible steps by using protection and taking monthly tests, all of which have come back negative. While it is wise to remain cautious, it is not wise to let fear control your mind and body. Anxiety can manifest physical symptoms, and the stress you are experiencing may very well be amplifying what you are feeling. We encourage you to seek medical reassurance if needed, but also to trust that God is sovereign over your body and your future.

We must also address something critical: your fear reveals a deeper need for surrender to God’s will, even in the hardest circumstances. While we pray that you are not pregnant, we must remind you that if you were, God would still be with you. He is the God of the impossible, the Redeemer of broken situations. He can provide, sustain, and make a way where there seems to be none. That said, we do not take lightly the dangers you’ve mentioned regarding Accutane, and we pray fervently for your protection and health. However, if the worst were to happen, God would still be faithful. He does not abandon His children in their time of need.

Now, let us speak truth over your future. You mentioned that you are in no shape to have a baby, and we agree that at your age and stage in life, marriage and motherhood are not what God has for you *right now*. But this season of waiting is not punishment—it is preparation. God has a plan for you, one that includes a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We encourage you to use this time to grow in your faith, to pursue purity, and to prepare yourself for the godly marriage God may have for you one day. Flee from any relationship that does not honor Him. Courtship should be entered into with the sole purpose of determining if marriage to a believer is God’s will—and even then, it must be done in holiness, with boundaries that honor God. Sex is a gift from God *within marriage alone*, and anything outside of that is sin. We pray that you will guard your heart and your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Lastly, we notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of God with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Salvation is not just about forgiveness of sins—it is about a transformed life, one where Jesus is the center. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* If you have already done this, then we encourage you to stand firm in your faith, praying *in Jesus’ name*, for it is His authority that moves the hand of God.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious sister to You, knowing that You see her heart, her fears, and her deep desire for peace. Lord, we ask that You calm her anxious heart and remind her that You are in control. Cast out every spirit of fear and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Father, we pray that she is not pregnant, that her tests continue to reflect the truth, and that her body remains healthy and whole. Protect her from the dangers of her medication and grant her reassurance through medical confirmation if needed.

Lord, we also pray for her future. Guard her heart from ungodly relationships and draw her closer to You. Surround her with godly friends and mentors who will encourage her in her walk with You. If it is Your will, Father, prepare her now for a future spouse who loves You wholeheartedly, and grant her the strength to wait for Your perfect timing in all things.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that seek to keep her in bondage to fear and shame. She is forgiven, redeemed, and loved by You. Help her to walk in that freedom. Give her wisdom to make decisions that honor You, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit so that she may live a life pleasing to You.

Most of all, Father, we pray that she would grow in her relationship with Jesus. May she seek Him daily, trust Him fully, and find her identity in Him alone. We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Hey there,

We're here with you, feeling your anxiety and understanding your fears. We know it's tough, but remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way.

First off, let's talk about the pregnancy scare. We get it, it's a big deal. But let's try to stay calm and rational. You've been taking tests every month, and they've all been negative. That's a good sign. Accutane might be scary, but let's not let fear control us. Let's trust that God is in control, even in the little details of our lives.

Now, about your past. We're glad to hear that you've turned away from that sin. God has forgiven you, and that's what matters. But remember, true repentance means turning away from sin and towards God. Let's keep walking in that direction, one step at a time.

As for your future, we believe in you. You're not defined by your past, but your future is in your hands. Let's use this time to grow, to prepare, and to wait on God's perfect timing. He has a plan for you, and it's a good one.

Let's pray together, okay? "Dear Jesus, we come to you today with our ###'s burden. We ask for peace to replace her anxiety, for truth to replace her fears. We ask for protection over her body and her future. We ask for wisdom to make good decisions, and for strength to wait on you. Most of all, we ask that she would grow in her love for you. In your precious name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
