cry for intervention

Servant of All
Dear Lord, I don't know why our family is like this oh Lord, my big brother won't forgive things done to him and my eldest sister won't also give in to my brother. All four of us are not talking to each other and have been in conflict for like half of our lives. I am really tired. My mom and pop also cannot blend. Both of them quarrel all the time. Lord, I really do not know why we were allowed to exist just to break apart. I don't know why we became a family to be broken. I surrender everything to You. If our purpose here on earth is to be broken, I pray we have done our part. I submit to Jesus' name, Amen.

We hear the deep pain and weariness in your heart, and we lift your family before the Lord with heavy hearts. Family was designed by God to be a source of love, unity, and mutual support, yet so often, the brokenness of this world distorts what He intended. The conflict you describe is not God’s will for your family—He desires reconciliation, forgiveness, and peace. Scripture tells us in Colossians 3:13, *"Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* Forgiveness is not optional for believers; it is a command, and it is the only path to healing.

We must also rebuke the spirit of division and bitterness that has taken root in your family. The Bible warns in Hebrews 12:15, *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."* Bitterness is a poison that spreads, and it has clearly defiled your family for far too long. We pray that God would uproot it completely, in Jesus’ name.

Your parents’ constant quarreling is also a grievous thing. Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and He hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). Yet even in the midst of their strife, we must pray for their hearts to soften and for them to seek God’s design for their union. Their conflict has undoubtedly contributed to the brokenness you all feel, but God can still restore what has been broken if they will surrender to Him.

You expressed a heartbreaking sense of purposelessness, wondering why your family exists only to be broken. But God does not create families to destroy them—He creates them to reflect His love and glory. Even in your pain, you are not without purpose. Jesus said in John 16:33, *"In the world you have oppression, but cheer up! I have overcome the world."* Your family’s story is not over. God can rewrite it if you will allow Him to work.

We must also address the despair in your words. Surrendering to God is good, but surrendering to hopelessness is not. The enemy wants you to believe that your family is beyond repair, but with God, *all things are possible* (Matthew 19:26). You must fight for your family in prayer, even when it feels futile. Stand on God’s promises and refuse to accept defeat.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for this precious family. Lord, You see the years of conflict, the unforgiveness, and the deep wounds that have festered. We ask You to break the chains of bitterness and division in this family. Soften the hearts of the brother and sister who refuse to forgive, and give them the strength to release their pain to You. Heal the marriage of their parents, Lord, and let them see the destruction their quarrels have caused. Restore what has been broken, and let Your peace reign in their home.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of hopelessness that has taken hold of this dear one. Remind them that their family’s story is not over—You are the God of redemption, and You can turn ashes into beauty. Give them the courage to keep praying, even when they see no change. Let them be a light in their family, showing Christ’s love even when it is not returned.

Lord, we ask that You would draw each member of this family to Yourself. If any of them do not know You as Savior, we pray that they would come to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Only through Him can true healing and restoration come. We declare that this family will not remain broken, for You are the God who mends what is shattered.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who reconciles us to You and to one another. Amen.

Do not lose heart, dear one. God hears your cries, and He is at work even now. Keep praying, keep loving, and keep trusting in Him. The enemy wants you to give up, but God is calling you to stand firm. You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you in prayer, and more importantly, the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). Press into God, and watch what He will do.

Oh, dear friend, we've been where you are. It's like living in a house of mirrors, each reflection showing a different version of the family we thought we knew. It's exhausting, isn't it? The constant tension, the unspoken words, the walls that seem to grow higher each day.

But you know what? God sees you. He sees your brother, your sister, your parents. He sees the pain, the anger, the hurt. And He's not okay with it. He's not okay with His children living in strife and division. He wants to heal you, to restore you, to make you whole again.

We need to claim Psalm 147:3 here. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God is a healer, a restorer. He specializes in taking broken pieces and making something beautiful out of them. Your family is not beyond repair. It might feel that way, but feelings lie. The truth is, God is still on the throne, and He's not done with your family yet.

So, let's pray. Let's pray for hearts to soften, for walls to crumble, for forgiveness to flow like a river. Let's pray for your parents' marriage, for their hearts to turn towards each other and towards God. Let's pray for unity, for peace, for love to reign in your home again.

And while we're praying, let's also trust. Trust that God is working, even when we can't see it. Trust that He's got this, that He's got you, that He's got your family. Trust that He's not done writing your family's story yet.

Keep fighting, dear friend. Keep praying. Keep loving. Keep trusting. You're not alone. We're with you, and so is the Holy Spirit, interceding for you with groanings too deep for words. Press into God, and watch what He will do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to lift your family before the Lord. It was a heavy burden you shared, and we have carried it to the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to intervene in the deep hurts and long-standing divisions that have kept your family from knowing His peace. We prayed for healing between your brother and sister, for softened hearts and a spirit of forgiveness to replace the pain of the past. We asked God to quiet the quarrels between your parents and to bring unity where there has been strife. Most of all, we prayed that you would feel His presence in your weariness, that you would know you are not alone in this struggle, and that His purpose for your family is one of restoration, not brokenness.

If the Lord has moved in your family’s situation—if there has been even a small step toward reconciliation, a moment of quiet where anger once reigned, or a new openness to His healing—we would be so encouraged to hear of it. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If, however, the weight of this conflict still feels just as heavy, and the answers you long for have not yet come, we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you in prayer, lifting your family before the Lord until His peace breaks through.

May the Father draw near to you in this season, reminding you that His love is not measured by the harmony or discord of your family, but by the finished work of His Son. May He give you strength for each day, wisdom to know how to walk in His will, and hope that His purposes for your family are good, even when the path is unclear. We continue to pray in Jesus’ name, trusting that He who began a good work in you and your family will bring it to completion at the day of Christ Jesus. Amen.
