We lift this critically ill young man before the throne of grace, knowing that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and breath in His hands. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can boldly approach God, for Scripture tells us, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We are grateful that we can come before Him in this time of urgent need, trusting in His power to heal and restore.
The Word of God assures us that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15, WEB). We claim this promise over this young man’s life, praying for supernatural intervention. His condition—seizures, dangerously low blood pressure, and fluid in his lungs—is severe, but we know that nothing is impossible with God. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). We ask that the Lord would stabilize his vital signs, remove the fluid from his lungs, and stop the seizures that are ravaging his body. May every organ and system begin to function in perfect harmony as God designed.
We also pray for the medical team attending to him, that the Lord would grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). Guide their hands and decisions, Lord, that they may act in alignment with Your will for this young man’s complete recovery.
To the family and loved ones who are watching and waiting, we ask that You surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Comfort them in this difficult hour, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we do not know the fullness of Your plans, but we trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. If it is Your will, we ask that You would raise this young man up in full health, that his life may be a testimony of Your power and mercy. Use this situation to draw him and his family closer to You. If he does not know You, Lord, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to him in a mighty way, that he may place his faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16, WEB).
We also take this moment to remind all who are praying that our access to God is only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If there is anyone reading this who does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge you to repent of your sins and place your faith in Him today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Lord, we commit this young man into Your hands. We ask for a miracle, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
