Beloved of All
God please forgive me the sins I committed when I was young and my mind was damaged by the cult and violence, I carry those sins and don't forgive myself.
In Jesus' Name, God have mercy, amen.
Also I'm worried about an unjust debt, there's not enough money. Amen

We hear your cry from the heart and we join with you before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, thanking God that you have come to Him through Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to the Father.

We understand the heavy burden you carry from sins committed when you were young, while your mind was damaged by the cult and by violence. The enemy would love for you to stay bound by guilt and shame, but our God is a God of mercy and complete forgiveness. When we confess our sins to Him, He does not partially forgive or hold them over us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12

We want to gently correct the thought that you must continue to carry these sins and not forgive yourself. When God forgives, He commands us to receive that forgiveness and to walk in freedom. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 He himself says, I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake and I will not remember your sins. Isaiah 43:25 If the holy God chooses to remember your sins no more because of the blood of Jesus shed for you, then to keep punishing yourself is to not fully trust His finished work. Your sins, even those committed under the confusion and damage of a cult and violence, are covered by that same blood when you repent. God also sees the brokenness that was done to you and He has deep compassion for you.

The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3

We pray that you will allow Him to heal not only the guilt but the wounds left by the cult and the violence, and we encourage you to seek continued healing through godly counsel and trusted pastoral care as you walk this out, so that your mind may be renewed by the truth of His Word.

We also lift up your worry about the unjust debt and the lack of money. Our God is both our Provider and our Defender who loves justice. A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but accurate weights are his delight. Proverbs 11:1 He sees when a debt is unjust and He sees your need.

We encourage you not to carry this anxiety alone but to bring it fully to Him and to seek wise, godly counsel about the practical steps for this debt, trusting Him to make a way and to act justly on your behalf.

In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

We pray together for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for this precious one who is crying out for mercy. Lord, we thank You that they have come through Jesus and we ask You to pour out Your mercy and assurance of forgiveness upon them. Let them know and feel that when they confessed their sins, You were faithful to forgive and to cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Lift the heavy weight of self-condemnation and help them to receive Your full pardon and to walk as a forgiven child, with no more condemnation. Heal the deep wounds left by the cult and by violence, bind up the broken heart, renew the mind that was damaged, and replace shame with Your peace and identity in Christ. For the burden of the unjust debt, Father we ask for Your justice and Your provision. You see what is unjust and You see the lack of money, provide for every need according to Your riches in glory, grant wisdom for every decision, bring help and wise counsel, and let Your peace guard their heart as they trust You. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.

We hear the weight you have carried for so long, and we are so sorry for the harm done to you when you were young in that cult and through violence. It makes sense that your mind was affected and that guilt has stayed with you, even as you have asked God for mercy.

We want to gently share something that helps many who have been through similar harm. Sometimes guilt is a true signal that we need to confess and turn from something, and God meets that honest confession with mercy. Other times guilt lingers because we were powerless, young, or harmed ourselves, and we blame ourselves for things that were not ours to control in a fallen world. Learning to tell those apart often takes time and a trusted voice beside you.

One steady next step could be to share the specific sins and memories that weigh on you most with one trusted pastor or Christian counselor in person, not carrying them alone anymore, and also bring the details of this debt that feels unjust to someone wise who can look at it with you practically and prayerfully.

We are praying for you.

Father, have mercy on our brother who cries out to You. Cover what needs to be confessed with Your forgiveness, lift what is false guilt, and heal the wounds left by the cult and violence. Give wisdom and provision for this debt worry, and lead to helpers who can walk alongside. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is forgiveness with God, and it is to that forgiveness your cry must be directed. You tremble and shake for fear, and with a penitent heart you desire forgiveness, and the Lord meets that desire not with a distant perhaps but with a divine declaration, I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake.

Understand what manner of forgiveness this is. It is a divine forgiveness, and it is given not on account of the sinner but for His own sake. The amount of guilt is put entirely out of consideration. It cannot be pleaded by any one that his sins are too great to be pardoned, for God forgives according to the greatness of His own mercy and for the sake of His own name. You speak of sins committed when you were young, when your mind was damaged by the cult and by violence. The Lord knows the darkness in which you then walked, the pressure and the wounding that was upon you, and He knows also the sin itself. Yet the word stands in its broad indefiniteness, There is forgiveness. Where God draws no limit, do not you draw any. However sinful your life may have been up until then, however black the sin into which you fell, there is forgiveness with Him even for you. If you have been the chief of sinners, you may have the chief of sinner's forgiveness, and God can bestow it now.

That forgiveness is to be obtained only from God, through Jesus Christ His Son. He, the Just, died for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. Your guilt that condemned you has been carried away by your great Substitute and Lord. Jehovah will never require the debt to be paid twice. The penalty of your sin was exacted of Christ, and God will not impute injustice to Himself by demanding it again of you. In Him you have not a partial pardon but a full forgiveness, a continuous and an eternal forgiveness. He not only forgave at the first all your sins, but He drowns the whole host of them in the depths of the sea, so that the whole of your guilt is swallowed up forever.

You say, I carry those sins and do not forgive myself. Hear this, that God's forgiveness is greater than your self condemnation. Some of us have known those dreadful walls of guilt that rise up all around us, and the hardness of our own hearts. But you must do as Luther did when a brother said to him, Do you not say, I believe in the forgiveness of sins. Now believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself. This blessed sentence contains no conditions for the repenting and believing sinner, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. It is absolute, irreversible, and eternal, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Do not wait until feeling tells you that you are worthy. At this moment there is forgiveness. One step more and you may be where there is no forgiveness, but now the door stands wide open. Where the offence went, from that very place the forgiveness comes, for there is forgiveness with Him.

And concerning the unjust debt that presses upon you and the lack of money which causes you such worry, know that the Lord sees both the injustice and the poverty. He has taught His people to remit debts where there is poverty, and He Himself proclaims oblivion to all your debt of sin when you put your trust in Christ. As for this earthly burden, bring it also to Him who knows what it is to have nowhere to lay His head. It is perfect poverty alone that sets the soul at large to cast itself upon God. Seek wise and honest counsel about what is lawfully owed and what is unjustly demanded, act with truth and diligence as God gives you light, and ask Him to provide for your needs and to bring justice where there is oppression. He who has forgiven the greater debt will not forsake you in the lesser.

May the Lord now give you to receive what He so freely gives. O Lord, have mercy upon this penitent soul for Jesus sake. Speak to the heart that is bruised by former violence and by the memory of youthful sin, and let the whisper, There is forgiveness, drive away despair into the sea of forgetfulness. Give faith to take the pardon that Christ has purchased, and peace that rests not upon self forgiveness but upon Thy perfect forgiveness. And in the matter of this debt, grant wisdom, provision, and deliverance from unjust exaction, and keep this soul in quiet trust until Thou shalt make the way plain. Amen.

Your cry from the heart has been heard, and it is good and right that you bring it to God so honestly. To feel that you have sinned and to name it before Him is the path to healing. Scripture teaches that Christ Himself bore our sins and carried them to the Father not to condemn us but to forgive us. His blood shed for us is greater than all our sins, and that is where forgiveness is found, through Jesus Christ alone.

God knows the damage that was done to your mind when you were young through the cult and through violence. He sees what was done to you and what you did in that brokenness, and His way with us is healing, not despite. You do not need to carry these sins as a weight that you refuse to lay down. The Psalm says blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. When you confess your offenses in particular to Him, you learn more deeply what you have been forgiven, and you can become grateful to your Benefactor. If God in Christ has forgiven you when you turn to Him in repentance and faith, you can receive that forgiveness even when your own heart still condemns you. Ask Him to help you amend your life and to teach you to live with a gentle and humble soul before Him.

I will pray for you. Father, have mercy on this one who confesses sin and asks for cleansing. Forgive what was done in youth and in a damaged mind, wash it away by the blood of Your Son, and lift the burden of self condemnation. Give a clear assurance that in Christ there is no shame left for those who are forgiven, but peace and gratitude. Bring healing from the wounds of the cult and violence, and lead into wholeness and self control by Your love.

I also bring before You the worry about the unjust debt and the lack of money. You are just and You see what is unjust. Provide what is needed, give wisdom for every practical step, and open a way where there seems to be no way. Give peace in place of anxiety and guide to trustworthy help and counsel for this financial burden. In Jesus Name, amen.

Your prayer reaches the heart of what matters most, and God hears the cry for mercy in Jesus' name.

The guilt you carry from when you were young, when your mind was harmed by a cult and by violence, is a heavy burden. It is common to feel that those sins stay with you and that you must keep punishing yourself because you cannot forgive yourself. But forgiveness does not rest on whether you can forgive yourself. It rests on what God has done.

In the older sacrifices, sins were only covered. The blood of bulls and goats could never take sins away. That is why the same offerings had to be repeated year after year, and every year the people were reminded again of their guilt. Their conscience was never made clean. They had a covering, but not a removal.

God gave a picture of what He truly intended. One goat was sacrificed, and upon the other goat the sins of the people were confessed, and it was led out into the wilderness and let go to be lost. The point was separation. God not only forgives sin, He removes it from you and puts it far away.

That removal has been accomplished once for all by Jesus Christ. He was offered once to bear the sins of many. The prophet said all of us like sheep have gone astray, each turning to his own way, and the Lord laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Your sins, including those done in youth and in a time of great damage and confusion, were part of what He carried. No work of your own can atone for sin. Even our best works are like filthy rags before a holy God. Only His blood can put sin away and make you one with God again.

That is why confession, not hiding or excusing, is the way forward. David tried to hide his guilt and found his sin was ever before him. He was miserable until he acknowledged his transgression openly to God. Scripture says if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. When you bring your sins honestly to Him, He cleanses completely. Though your sins are like scarlet, He makes them white as snow. Blessed is the person whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

When God forgives, He says He will remember your sins no more. We often say we forgive but we do not forget. God does not deal with us that way. The accuser will try to use your past as a hammer to beat you down and bring you under condemnation, reminding you of the evil that was done. But if your sins have been put away by Christ, you should no longer live with a continual consciousness of guilt. The guilt was punished in Him so that you could be free, restored to the family, with a clear conscience.

If feelings of guilt remain after you have confessed to God and trusted Christ, those feelings are not the measure of forgiveness. They are the echo of an old wound and the voice of condemnation. Bring them back to the truth of what Jesus has done and receive again by faith the cleansing He has already provided. You do not need to earn it or suffer to pay for it. It is a gift of His mercy and great love, shown to us even while we were dead in trespasses and sins.

You also mentioned worry about an unjust debt and not having enough money. That worry is real and God sees it. The greatest need any of us has is to have our sins forgiven, because that settles our eternal standing before Him. Every other need, including financial pressure and injustice, is secondary to that, but it is not unimportant to Him. He invites you to bring that burden to Him as well, to ask for wisdom, for provision, and for help to deal rightly with what is unjust. Seek godly counsel for practical steps, be faithful with what you have, and trust Him to care for your daily needs as your Father.

May the Lord give you a deep assurance of His complete forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, quiet your conscience with His finished work, separate you from your past as far as the wilderness is from the camp, and give you peace as you trust Him with both your soul and your daily needs.
