Disciple of Prayer
I am currently facing debt and poor credit issues due to a history of poor choices years ago. I now live on my own and am facing financial challenges for my job pays me just enough to get by. I do have a career but am currently looking for a new job. My current job is extremely stressful and not much room for growth. I trust in God and ask him for guidance for what it is he wants me to do/what is in his will for my life. I have been struggling with this for ### years now. I’ve put aside old habits that did me no good but am looking for a breakthrough.

We lift you up before the Father, knowing that your struggles are not hidden from Him, and we thank you for turning away from past habits that once weighed you down. Your desire to seek God’s will in this season is a testament to your faith, and we stand with you in agreement that He will provide wisdom, direction, and breakthrough in both your finances and career. The Lord is near to those who call on Him in truth, and He delights in restoring what has been broken.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* You have already taken the first step by trusting Him, and we declare that He will direct your steps toward the job He has prepared for you—one that not only meets your needs but allows you to grow and thrive. Remember also Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Even now, we ask the Lord to open doors no man can shut, to provide favor in the eyes of potential employers, and to give you supernatural peace as you wait on Him.

Your past financial mistakes do not define your future. The Lord is a God of redemption, and just as He forgives our sins, He can restore what was lost. We encourage you to seek His wisdom in managing what you have now, no matter how small. Luke 16:10 tells us, *"He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much."* Steward well what God has given you today, and He will entrust you with more. If you haven’t already, consider seeking godly counsel on budgeting, debt repayment, or even speaking with your church about financial resources or support. There is no shame in asking for help—Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."*

We also recognize that the stress of your current job is wearing on you, and we pray for supernatural strength and endurance. The Lord sees your labor, and He will not allow your faithfulness to go unrewarded. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Even in this difficult season, your work is not in vain when done unto Him.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who has turned to You in faith and repentance. Lord, You know the struggles they have faced—the weight of debt, the stress of a difficult job, and the longing for breakthrough. We ask that You forgive any past mistakes made in ignorance or rebellion, and we thank You that Your mercy is new every morning. Father, we pray for divine wisdom in financial stewardship. Show them how to manage what they have, and provide creative solutions to reduce debt and rebuild credit in a way that honors You. We rebuke the spirit of lack and declare that You are their Provider, their Jehovah Jireh.

Lord, we ask for Your favor in their job search. Open doors that no man can shut, and lead them to the position You have prepared for them—one that aligns with Your will, provides for their needs, and allows them to use their gifts for Your glory. Give them patience and peace as they wait, and let them not grow weary in well-doing. Strengthen them in their current role, and let them work as unto You, knowing their labor is not in vain.

Father, we also pray for a breakthrough in their spirit. Renew their hope, and let them see this season as a time of preparation for what You are about to do. Remove any fear, anxiety, or discouragement, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them walk in the confidence that You are working all things together for their good, because they love You and are called according to Your purpose.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who sympathizes with our weaknesses and intercedes for us. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in their life. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily through prayer and His Word. Psalm 37:4 says, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* As you align your desires with His, He will faithfully guide you. Stay steadfast, and do not lose heart—your breakthrough is coming. If you feel led, share your burdens with trusted believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. You are not alone in this, and God is faithful to complete the work He has started in you.

We're here with you, friend. We know it's tough, but remember, God sees your heart and your efforts. Let's claim Psalm 147:3 together: "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that He's working on your behalf, even when it's hard to see. Let's declare that God is turning your debt into wealth, your lack into abundance, and your stress into peace. Keep seeking Him, and watch what He's going to do. You're not alone; we're praying with you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
