Create in Me a New Worshipper for Your Kingdom Service

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father, on this fast day, create in me a new worshipper. Draw close to me, and I will draw close to You (James 4:8). Teach me to worship You in spirit and truth (John 4:24). Help me meditate on Your Word day and night (Joshua 1:8). Awaken every gift You have placed within me. Train my voice, strengthen my faith, purify my heart, and prepare me for Kingdom service. Let my worship glorify You. Amen.

We join you in this sacred moment of fasting and seeking the Lord, lifting your heartfelt cry to Him. Your desire to be a true worshipper, one who worships in spirit and truth, is a beautiful reflection of God’s own longing for intimacy with His children. The Scripture declares, "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:24 WEB). This is not merely about outward expressions but a deep, transformative surrender of the heart.

Father, we come before You as Your servants, asking that You would indeed create in this dear one a new heart, a heart fully attuned to Your presence. Draw near, Lord, as You have promised: "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8 WEB). May this fast be a time of consecration, where every distraction is laid aside, and every gift You have placed within them is awakened for Your glory.

We pray that You would train their voice, not just in song, but in every word and deed, to resonate with Your truth. Strengthen their faith, Lord, so that it stands firm in trials and shines brightly in darkness. Purify their heart, that it may be a dwelling place for Your Holy Spirit, free from the weights of sin and worldly compromise. "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10 WEB).

Prepare them, Father, for Kingdom service. Let their worship be a fragrant offering, pleasing to You, and let it flow from a life wholly yielded to Your will. May they meditate on Your Word day and night, as Joshua 1:8 instructs, so that they may walk in wisdom and obedience. Awaken every gift, every talent, every anointing You have placed within them, that they may serve You with excellence and humility.

We rebuke every spirit of distraction, doubt, or discouragement that would seek to hinder this work of renewal. Let no lie of the enemy steal the joy of Your presence or the purpose You have for them. Instead, fill them with Your peace, Your power, and Your passion for Your Kingdom.

Lord, we declare over them the promise of 2 Corinthians 5:17: "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." May they walk in the fullness of this truth, ever growing in grace and in the knowledge of You.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We are with you in this beautiful desire today. Asking the Lord to create a new worshipper in you is exactly the kind of prayer that draws His heart near. Fasting can sharpen that hunger, making space for Him to do what only He can do deep inside you.

One thing that has often helped us is the reminder that genuine worship does something powerful in us as we simply behold God. The prophet Isaiah saw the Lord high and lifted up, and that vision changed everything, how he saw his own heart, his circumstances, and the world around him. Worship takes our eyes off ourselves and anchors them on who God actually is, and that shift prepares us for whatever service He has ahead. So this fast day is not about striving to become a better worshipper; it is about staying close enough to catch a clearer glimpse of Him and letting that sight reshape you.

Since spiritual growth is usually quiet and slow, like training for a long journey rather than a quick sprint, be gentle with yourself today. You do not have to feel a certain way or force an outcome. The Holy Spirit is already at work awakening those gifts, purifying your heart, and training your voice. As He does, we simply rest in His timeline.

Father, thank You for this precious hunger to worship You in spirit and truth. Draw close now as Your child draws close to You. Let the meditation of Your Word sustain them through this fast. Awaken every gift, strengthen faith deep in the bones, and purify the heart so that the song of their life brings You glory. Prepare them for whatever Kingdom service You have set apart for them, today and in all the days to come. In Jesus’ name.

The cry of your heart rises as incense before the throne. You ask to be made a new worshipper, and that is a petition well-pleasing to God, for the Father seeks such to worship Him in spirit and in truth. But mark this: a new worshipper needs a new heart. The old heart is stony, hard, incapable of producing a single note of true praise. I hear your prayer for gifts to be awakened, your voice trained, your faith strengthened, but all this must spring from the fountain of a renewed nature. God must give you a new heart, a heart of flesh, and a new spirit must He put within you. Reforming the outward man will not do; a resurrection from the dead is required. This is God’s work, and the work of God alone. Yield your heart, then, to Christ. Give Him that heart, and let it lie in His sacred hands; He will change it. He will take away the rottenness, the filth, the hardness, and in its place a pure, clean, heavenly heart shall beat, a heart that can truly sing a new song.

When the Holy Spirit begins His work, there is a day in which God’s power is revealed in your conscience, and you are subdued to the reign of Christ. That day, old things pass away, and all things become new. Then you will worship not with mere lip-service, nor in a hollow formalism, but in spirit and in truth, as a child drawing near to a Father with loving confidence. The Spirit will write God’s Law upon your inward parts; He will take the truth of Scripture, which alone cannot quicken, and make it alive within you. He will convict you of sin and then reveal Christ evidently crucified for you. When you look to Him, trust Him, then the Spirit has begun His work, and He will perfect it. The gifts you long to see awakened are but the graces of that new life He bestows. Your voice, trained in the secret place of prayer and gratitude, will break forth in praise not only in solitude but among God’s people, casting in your lot with the despised company of believers because Christ is there.

Be watchful and sober, for the world would lull you to slumber. Let not the noise of business drown the Spirit’s gentle moving. As the wind bloweth where it listeth, so is every one that is born of the Spirit. You may not know the precise instant the new creation began, but if the sound thereof is manifest in your life, a change in your loves, your hates, your aspirations, then rejoice. Strive after holiness, for pure religion keeps oneself unspotted from the world even as it visits the afflicted. But remember, every grace you exercise, every sin put to death, is the gift of God’s unspeakable gift in Christ Jesus. You have nothing that you have not received. Therefore, draw near with boldness, not on the ground of your own merit, but because Christ has made you a son. He is coming again, and in that great day of the Father’s Kingdom, you shall drink the new wine of eternal joy with Him. Until then, give Him your heart, lean on His Spirit, and let your whole life become a sacrifice of praise, for He who hath begun a good work in you will carry it on until the day of Jesus Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer asks the Father to create in you a new worshipper, and that is a good request, but you must understand what a new worshipper truly is. Do not be like Herod, who said he would come and worship Christ while in his heart he intended to slay Him. Many who come to the altar with outward reverence are still ruled by a tyrant more wicked than Herod, even Mammon. Covetousness, lust, pride, and love of praise can make you appear a suppliant while your deeds show the contrary. So before you ask for a trained voice or a strengthened faith, ask the Spirit to search your heart and put to death every passion that grieves the kingdom of Christ. A new worshipper is not made by external gifts but by inward purity.

The Lord said that God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. He did not mean that you should neglect the body altogether, but that the service of the incorporeal God must be offered by that in you which is incorporeal, namely the soul and a pure mind. The old sacrifices of sheep and calves are gone. Circumcision of the flesh is nothing. What remains is to dedicate yourself to the Lord, to make yourself a holocaust, to offer a living sacrifice, which is your reasonable service. This means circumcising not your flesh but your evil thoughts, crucifying yourself, and slaying your unreasonable desires. If you want your worship to glorify God, let your life be a continual self-offering. Pray not only for a voice that sings well, but for a heart that obeys well.

You ask to draw close to God, and you quote the promise that if you draw near, He will draw near to you. But remember what it means to call God Father. That one title carries with it remission of sins, removal of punishment, righteousness, sanctification, redemption, adoption, inheritance, brotherhood with the Only Begotten, and the supply of the Spirit. You cannot draw near while you are still serving another master. If you bow before God in prayer but in your daily life you obey covetousness or wrath or lust, then you are not a true worshipper but an idolater, serving the passions rather than the Creator. Draw near therefore with a broken and contrite spirit, confessing every secret sin, and putting away every known transgression. Only then can your drawing near be genuine.

You pray that every gift placed within you be awakened, and you ask for faith, healing, or whatever the Spirit has given. But do not envy another person's gift or think yours is too small. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. The Spirit gives the word of wisdom to one, the word of knowledge to another, faith to another, gifts of healing to another, and all from the same Lord, the same God who works all in all. Whether your gift is great or small, it is not yours to boast in, but His to use through you. Wherefore if you desire your gift to be awakened, humble yourself. A soul puffed up with pride cannot contain the Spirit's power. Be willing to be last, to serve unseen, to take the lowest place.

Meditate on His Word day and night as you have prayed, but let that Word be a sword to you, not just a song. The sword of the Spirit is the word of God. It pierces to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Do not read Scripture merely to find phrases for prayer or to improve your speaking. Let the Word judge you. Let it expose your selfishness, your unforgiveness, your love of ease. Let it cut away every branch in you that bears no fruit. Then your voice, trained or simple, will carry weight because it comes from a purified heart.

Finally, prepare for Kingdom service by imitating the wise men who came from afar. They were not put off by the poor estate of the Christ child, for they worshiped not a man but God. They opened their treasures and offered gifts, not to a mere teacher, but to the Word made flesh. They had no outward reason to bow down except the illumination God had placed in their minds. In the same way, let your worship be born from the Spirit's light within, not from the sight of your eyes or the approval of others. Offer to Him knowledge, obedience, and love. These are the gifts that please Him far more than a trained voice lifted without a contrite heart. Let your worship glorify Him not by outward show but by a life that denies itself, takes up the cross, and follows the Lamb wherever He goes.

The prayer you have brought is itself a sign of the right work beginning. You are not asking to become a more polished performer; you are asking God to create something new in you. That is His kind of work. A fast is not a way to earn His nearness. It is a way of clearing room so that when you draw near, you actually notice that He is already drawing near to you.

Worship in spirit and truth begins in the heart and cuts away idols. Many people worship what cannot speak, move, or answer, and they miss the true and living God. Do not let your voice, your gifts, or even your fasting become the thing you worship. Ask God to show you if anything else has taken His place. He is looking for a true worshipper, not an outward ritual in a particular building or a certain feeling. You can worship Him anywhere, but only on His terms: through the Son He has given and in the truth He has spoken.

Meditate on His word day and night, not to hunt for new truth but to let the old truth become new to you. That is how God exposes what is false and forms a heart after His own heart. David was far from perfect, yet he kept turning back to seek God. The same can be true of you as you keep turning back. Let the Scriptures search you, purify you, and strengthen your faith for the long road.

As you ask Him to awaken every gift, remember that the gifts are for His glory, not for self-display. The voice that matters most is the voice of your heart learning to love Him. Let private worship be the place where the Spirit helps you express what your intellect cannot fully hold. From that hidden place, public service becomes an overflow of love rather than a performance.

You have a sure hope: God has promised a new heaven and a new earth, and the King who will reign there receives worship because He is God. Keep your eyes on Him. True Kingdom service grows out of beholding Jesus, not out of trying to prove yourself. May He make you a faithful worshipper, and may your worship be pure and whole before Him.
