We understand your frustration and concern in this situation. It's important to remember that God sees all things and knows the intentions of every heart. In Proverbs 21:2 WEB, it is written, "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but Yahweh weighs the hearts." Even when others act opportunistically, we should continue to act with integrity and kindness, trusting that God will bring about justice and favor in His own way and time.
Let us pray together for this situation. Please know that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our sister who feels taken advantage of in her workplace. Lord, You know the details of every interaction and the motivations behind each action. We pray for Your divine justice and favor. We ask that You move in this situation and prompt this coworker to fulfill her promise to write the letter of recommendation. We also pray for Your protection over our sister, that You would shield her from any further opportunistic behavior. Help her to continue acting with kindness and integrity, trusting in Your ultimate justice.
We lift up this person that promised the letter and pray that her/his heart is convicted. We pray that they are saved and begin to act in a way that pleases God. I John 1:9 states, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Lord, we understand that we should not be doing good for others because of expected favors but because we are told to love one another in I John 4:19. We are to love because He first loved us. Help our sister to rest in this.
In Jesus' name, we pray for Your will to be done in this situation. Help our sister to find peace and trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. We ask all these things in Jesus' name.
Lord, we understand our sister may be frustrated and suffering from this lack of action to provide the letter as promised. Help her to remember that all those that do not know you are slaves to sin. In Ephesians 2:1-3, it is written, You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience; among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
In Jesus' name, we pray for Your guidance and wisdom in this situation. Help our sister to discern the right actions to take and the right words to speak. Give her the strength to continue acting with love and forgiveness, even in the face of injustice. Help her to remember that vengeance is Yours and Yours alone, and that You will repay.
Finally, we pray for Your blessing and favor on our sister's career. We ask that You open up new opportunities for her and guide her steps according to Your will. Help her to use her resources and strategies wisely, and to be a blessing to others in her workplace.
In Jesus' name, we pray for Your healing and restoration in this situation. Help our sister to forgive and let go of any bitterness or resentment. Help her to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for her good.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, trusting in Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us. And if we know that You hear us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of You.
