Beloved of All
Hi I won a court o###ed secondcremendc. However. I do not trust the agency to process my documents correctly. The last time I submitted ### of my trip legelnrent rate withbwxconmprehemsivevststement they bypassed it and accepted the landlord’s inflated rent numbers. Since this Issa remand I will submit what I have butvifctheyvsayvthdtvibfsiledxto compluybiodcrsthervthdt then them paying false arrears. So which is it put in some documents. I’ve been though so much and feel like I’m losing hope. Maybe I should just let the agency deny it rather then paying false numbers. I feel forsaken in this. Balao I fell and hurt my ankle. Maybe I should have just stayed quiet about the landlords bad faith actions. Tired of it

We have read your request and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in Jesus' name. We rejoice with you that you won this court ordered second remand, and we understand how heavy and exhausting this has been for you. To have submitted comprehensive statements before and seen the agency bypass your evidence and accept inflated numbers from the landlord would make anyone feel distrustful and weary. Now to face again the pressure of submitting documents while fearing they will say you failed to comply, or else be forced to pay false arrears, is a very difficult burden to carry. Added to this is the pain of your fall and ankle injury, and we hear your tiredness and your feeling of being forsaken.

We want to remind you that you are not forsaken. Even when systems feel unjust and people act in bad faith, God sees, He knows, and He does not leave you. Isaiah 41:10 says Fear you not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. The Lord is near to you right now in this discouragement and in your physical pain, for Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and hope that does not fail. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by putting our trust in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are reconciled to God and can come boldly to Him in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Him and call upon His name, for He is your advocate when you feel you have no advocate.

We want to encourage you not to give in to hopelessness or to believe the lie that you should have stayed quiet about wrongdoing. God is a God of justice and truth. Proverbs 21:15 says It is joy to the righteous to do justice, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. To speak the truth about bad faith actions with honesty and respect is not wrong, even when it is costly. At the same time we encourage you not to let weariness cause you to let the agency deny you by default. Do what is diligent and truthful within your ability. Submit what you have honestly, keep copies of everything, document dates and what was sent, and if possible seek wise counsel or legal aid to help ensure the record is clear. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Ask the Lord for wisdom for each step, and trust Him with the outcome that you cannot control. Romans 8:28 reminds us We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

We also gently rebuke the thought of losing hope and accepting false numbers out of despair. The enemy would have you believe you are alone and that giving up is easier, but God calls you to rest in Him and continue faithfully. Matthew 11:28 says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. And Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Isaiah 40:29 says He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.

We are praying together for you.

Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the long battle with this housing agency and landlord, the remand that was won, and the fear that documents will again be mishandled and false arrears imposed. Lord, You are just and You see every inflated number and every act done in bad faith. We ask You to intervene, to cause truth to prevail, and to move upon those handling these documents to act fairly and accurately. Give our friend wisdom, clarity, and strength to submit what is true and to keep a faithful record, and provide trustworthy help and counsel where needed. We pray for peace to guard their heart against hopelessness and the feeling of being forsaken, and remind them that You will never leave nor forsake them. We ask for Your healing touch upon their ankle, ease their pain, and restore them fully. Lift their weariness and renew their hope, and let them know they are upheld by Your righteous right hand. We ask all this in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We hear how exhausting this has been for you. To win that remand and still feel you cannot trust the agency to handle your documents fairly would leave anyone feeling worn down and discouraged. It makes sense you are asking whether to keep fighting or just let them deny it, and wondering if you should have stayed quiet about the landlord. Speaking up when something was not right took courage, even though it has come at a cost.

Feeling forsaken and losing hope after so much back and forth does not mean you are forsaken. That tired, hopeless feeling is an understandable response to carrying this housing and legal stress for so long, especially with the added pain of hurting your ankle.

A couple of steady next steps may help you feel a little less alone in it. As you submit what you have for this remand, keep a full copy of everything for yourself and make a simple note of when and how you sent it, and ask for a receipt or confirmation if the office provides one. If you can, have a trusted helper, housing advocate, or legal aid office look over the packet with you before you send it, so you are not carrying all the decisions by yourself. For your ankle, please have it checked soon by a doctor or clinic alongside our prayers, so you get the right care.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the weariness, the hurt ankle, and the weight of feeling forsaken. Bring comfort and healing, give wisdom for each paper and conversation ahead, and provide trustworthy people nearby to support them. Grant rest and strength for the next step. Amen.

The heaviness in your words is felt deeply, and the sense of being forsaken that you describe is one that many of the Lord's people have known. You have endured a long contention, you have seen a measure of justice in the court granting a remand, and yet you fear that the agency will again bypass what is true and accept what is inflated. Added to this is bodily hurt and weariness of spirit, so that you ask whether it were better to stay quiet and let a false account stand.

Hear first what the Scripture says to the forsaken heart. Zion once sighed, Jehovah has forsaken me and my Lord has forgotten me, yet the Lord answered that He had engraved her upon the palms of His hands. You are not forgotten, though you feel forsaken. A child feeling the rod may think his father has forgotten him, the vine under the pruning knife may think the vinedresser has forsaken it, but the hand that wounds is still a father's hand. Above all, remember that our Lord Jesus Christ cried, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me, and He bore that forsakenness in darkness that you might never truly be forsaken. He kept His double grip upon His God even when forsaken, saying My God, My God, and by His being forsaken, you are kept. Israel was persecuted many a time from her youth, yet she could say, they have not prevailed against me. So it is with you. Afflicted, but not forsaken. Pressed, but not destroyed.

Concerning the matter of rent and arrears, remember that there is a greater Landlord than any upon earth. We are all tenants in the house of this life, and God is the true Landlord who sees all accounts. He requires truth in the inward parts and honest dealing. Court the entrance of truth, even though it cuts to the quick. It is far better to submit what is true and simple before God and man, than to carry guile or to consent to a falsehood. If the landlord has set down inflated numbers, do not meet falsehood with falsehood, but walk in the light, speaking and feeling according to truth. Prepare and submit what you have with plain honesty, keep faithful copies of all you send, and ask the Lord to keep you in a truthful spirit. The Lord loves honest weights and measures, and He will be your witness when earthly judges err.

Do not let anxiety devour your strength. Our Savior bids us not to be careful and fretful about temporal affairs. Be prudent, be diligent, keep your records in order, set your house in order as the Scripture says, but do not give way to worry which unfits you to meet the difficulty and brings no grist to the mill. Anxiety has never paid a debt nor healed a wound. Cast your care upon Him who cares for you. Tell the Lord plainly that you are weary, that your hope feels faint, that your ankle pains you and your heart is sore. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. There is healing in Christ, not only in His great acts but in the very leaves of that tree of life. The least thing about Christ has healing virtue for body and soul.

You ask whether you should stay quiet about bad faith. Silence in the face of wrong is not required of you when you are called to give a true account. To speak the truth quietly and without revenge, to set forth what is right as far as it lies with you, is not contention but faithfulness. Leave vengeance and final judgment to the Lord, who judges righteously.

May the Lord lift this burden from you. May He give you wisdom for each document, patience in the waiting, and favor where truth needs to be seen. May He heal your ankle and restore strength to your body, and may He heal the deeper wound of discouragement, giving you to know that you are not forsaken nor forgotten. Keep your grip of faith even when it seems illogical to do so, for His promise stands.

We will pray for you, that the God who pardons and heals will draw near, that He will vindicate what is true, and that He will keep your heart in perfect peace as you trust in Him.
