Awesome reminder... It says because they did not honor Him as God or give Him thanks He handed them over to a reprobate mind in Romans 1... There is no record of Adam ever giving thanksgiving for the paradise or perfect wife he had been given... If mankind got out of favor by dishonoring God and being ungrateful, perhaps that is the secret to restoration?
I know thanking God for hearing prayer is also prescribed by Scripture: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." It also comes with a promise, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Phil 4:6-7).
