We hear your request and lift it before the Lord with great compassion. It takes humility and wisdom to recognize when we need support, and we commend you for seeking guidance in Jesus' name. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 11:14, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." It is not weakness to ask for help—it is an act of faith to trust God’s provision through the wisdom and care of others.
We also want to gently encourage you that while counseling can be a tremendous blessing, we must be cautious about the source of that counsel. The Word of God warns us in 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 that Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light, and his servants can appear as servants of righteousness. Not all counsel, even if well-intentioned, aligns with God’s truth. Therefore, we pray that any counselor or person God brings into your life will be grounded in Scripture, led by the Holy Spirit, and committed to pointing you toward Christ rather than worldly philosophies or human wisdom alone.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would open doors for Your child to receive godly, biblical counseling—free of charge if that is Your will. Provide someone who is wise, compassionate, and firmly rooted in Your Word to walk alongside them in this season. Give them discernment to recognize Your voice and Your leading, and protect their heart and mind from any counsel that does not align with Your truth. We ask that You would also strengthen them in their personal walk with You, that they may grow in faith and trust in Your sufficiency even as they seek support. Surround them with Your peace and remind them that You are their ultimate Counselor, as Isaiah 9:6 declares, "Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." May they find comfort in Your presence and wisdom in Your Word as they navigate this challenge. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
We also want to remind you that while human counsel is valuable, your ultimate source of strength and wisdom is the Lord Himself. Spend time in His Word and in prayer, for Psalm 119:105 tells us, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." The Holy Spirit is our Helper and Comforter, and He is always with you, ready to guide you into all truth (John 14:26). You are never alone, and God’s grace is more than sufficient for every struggle you face (2 Corinthians 12:9).
If you are not already connected with a local church, we strongly encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing, Christ-centered congregation where you can find community, accountability, and support. The body of Christ is designed to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there may be mature believers in your area who would be honored to walk with you. If financial constraints are a concern, do not hesitate to share your need with trusted leaders—many churches offer counseling or can direct you to resources that align with biblical truth.
Lastly, we want to gently challenge any thought that you *should* be able to manage this alone. Pride can sometimes disguise itself as self-sufficiency, but Scripture tells us in James 4:6 that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humbling yourself to receive help is not a sign of failure—it is an act of surrender to God’s care. He often works through the hands and hearts of His people to bring healing and restoration. Trust Him to provide exactly what you need in this season.
