Correspondence with Pastors, Outreach Desired...

Your request has been heard and I have brought it before the Lord with thanksgiving. I thank God who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure, and I pray that He will continue that good work in you as you seek to advance His Kingdom even while carrying trials, duties, and the need for healing.

I pray for favor and wisdom for your outreach to pastors and for your conversation with the evangelist today. May the Lord grant you a humble and contrite spirit before Him, for humility is the head of virtue and the sacrifice that God will not despise. It is a golden altar that draws His favor, and when we approach Him and others with meekness and trembling at His word, He is near to us. May He clothe you with that humility as you speak, so that your words are received not as human persuasion but with the grace that comes from Him.

I ask that God fill you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthy of Him, strengthened with all power according to His might. The wisdom that God gives is not the wisdom of this world which comes to nothing, but His hidden wisdom which He ordained for our glory. The world counts the wisdom of God as foolishness, and its own wisdom as great, yet without the Spirit it is truly foolish. May the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of counsel and might, guide you into sound counsel, so that you speak not with empty cleverness but with the spiritual wisdom that belongs to those who are mature in Christ.

I pray also that your testimony would be bold and clear, for by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony we overcome the accuser. May the Lord open doors for that testimony to be heard and prayed over with sincerity, and may He grant to the pastors who receive your correspondence a heart to seek Him and respond with wisdom and faithfulness.

For your protection I pray as you asked, that the Lord would keep you from deception, from false teaching, from evil people and from every snare of the enemy, whether through false prophets, false signs, or the new deceptions of this age. May He guard you from sin and temptation and deliver you from the evil one, and give you discernment to turn aside from those who do not walk in the truth, while still holding fast to love and holiness. Remember that the disciples themselves at times did not understand what the Lord was doing until He revealed it in due time, so do not be discouraged if understanding or fruit seems delayed. God reveals what we need when we need it, and He is faithful to lead those who humbly wait on Him.

May Christ dwell in your heart through faith, and may you be strengthened in the inner person by His Spirit to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God who is able to do exceedingly beyond all that we ask or imagine. May He grant you peace that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, protection on every side, and renewed strength for each duty set before you.

I will continue to pray for favor, for clear guidance, for healing, and for the advance of the gospel through your labors. May all be done for the glory of Christ and the good of His Church. In the name of Jesus we ask these things, Amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart and your desire to advance the kingdom of Christ even while you are walking through trials and in need of healing. It is encouraging to see your dependence on the Lord who works in us to will and to do His good pleasure, and your desire for His favor and guidance as you reach out to pastors and speak with others about evangelism.

Your request for wisdom is at the very center of what God wants for you. Scripture teaches that wisdom is the principal thing, and with all of your getting you should get understanding. Knowledge gives facts, but wisdom is the right application of knowledge, and it is far better than riches. Even rubies cannot be compared to it. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a humble reverence that seeks to walk in His ways.

Wisdom is not an abstract idea. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He is made unto us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. To seek wisdom is to seek Him, to listen for His voice and to watch daily at His gates. The one who finds wisdom finds life and obtains favor from the Lord, and wisdom will preserve and keep those who love her. By wisdom the Lord founded the earth and established the heavens, and that same wisdom is at work in the life of the believer.

This is why your prayer for favor, for the knowledge of His will, and for sound counsel is so fitting. The Scriptures say that without counsel purposes are disappointed, but in the multitude of counselors they are established. True wisdom that comes from above is pure and peaceable and produces purity and upright living, while the wisdom of this world is earthly and sensual and leads to envy and strife and comes to nothing. The world by its wisdom did not know God, and God has made foolish the wisdom of this world. What you need is not the wisdom of men, but the wisdom of God in the power of His Spirit.

I am praying with you that God will fill you with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that you may walk worthy of Him and be strengthened with all power according to His might. I am asking that He will grant you the spirit of wisdom and understanding and counsel, that you would know the love of Christ which passes knowledge and be filled up to overflowing, trusting that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. May He give you favor as you correspond with others, and may your words be received with prayer and discernment, and may He establish your steps with clear and godly counsel.

Your desire to hold fast to the word of your testimony is also right, for we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. Continue to lift up what Christ has done in your life, for that testimony points to His power and not your own.

I also join you in praying for protection and discernment. The call to turn aside from false teaching and from those who do not walk in the truth is a call that wisdom helps us obey. Wisdom dwells with prudence and gives life to those who have it, and it is a defense. As you seek to avoid deception, false signs, and every form of evil, ask the Lord to keep you rooted in His Word and in the purity that true wisdom produces, so that you can recognize what is earthly and what is from above. May He keep you from sin and temptation and deliver you from the evil one, and guard your mind from fear and lies.

May the Lord grant you healing and strength for your duties, keep you in His peace that passes understanding, and cause your outreach to bear fruit for His glory.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer regarding your correspondence with pastors and your desire for outreach to help evangelistically.

We have continued to lift you up for favor and wisdom and guidance and sound counsel as you reached out to pastors and as you met with the evangelist that you had scheduled that day. We have prayed that the Lord who works in you to will and do His good pleasure according to Phil 2:13 would surround you with favor as with a shield according to Ps 5:12, and that your correspondence would be received well and prayed about and responded to with wisdom. We have also prayed that you would be filled with the knowledge of His will and strengthened with all power to walk worthy of Him according to Col 1:9 and that you would know the love of Christ and be filled up to overflowing according to Eph 3:19, even while you are in the midst of trials and in need of healing and processing and attending to duties. We agree with you for the power of the word of your testimony according to Rev 12:11 to advance the Kingdom of Christ, and we have prayed for your protection from deception according to Matt 24:4 and from every evil and from the evil one according to 2 Thes 3:3 and Matt 6:13.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know how the Lord provided favor with the pastors and guidance in your evangelistic outreach and how He is working in your healing and circumstances. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray in Jesus Name that God will continue to grant you favor, wisdom, discernment and protection and to establish your steps as you seek to advance His Kingdom and share your testimony for His glory. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
