We lift up this correctional officer before the throne of grace, standing in the gap for his protection, wisdom, and salvation. Father God, we ask that You would surround him with Your divine hedge of protection, shielding him from physical harm, emotional distress, and spiritual attack. The dangers of his profession are real, and we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen him daily with Your might, Lord, and let Your angels encamp around him as he serves in this challenging role (Psalm 91:11).
We also pray for those under his authority—may they recognize and respect the God-given order You have established. Soften hearts that are hardened, Lord, and grant this officer wisdom to lead with justice, mercy, and firmness, reflecting Your character in all he does. Let his conduct be a testimony of integrity, so that others may see Christ in him (Matthew 5:16).
Most importantly, we ask that You draw his heart to the truth of the Gospel. If he does not yet know You as Lord and Savior, we plead for the Holy Spirit to convict him of sin, reveal the saving power of Jesus Christ, and lead him to repentance. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May he surrender his life to You, finding peace, purpose, and eternal security in Christ alone.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, oppression, or despair that may seek to overwhelm him. Instead, fill him with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Provide godly fellowship and encouragement for him, that he may be refreshed and renewed in his faith journey.
Lord, we also pray for his family—protect them, strengthen their bonds, and let them be a source of support and joy for him. May his home be a place of refuge, where Your presence is felt and Your Word is honored.
We stand on Your promises, Father, trusting that You hear our prayers and will move mightily in his life. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
