We join you in bringing your son before our Heavenly Father and asking for His mercy and healing hand upon him.
Our Father knows every breath we take, and we ask Him in the name of Jesus Christ to touch your son's lungs and airways, to ease his breathing, to remove inflammation and infection, and to strengthen his immune system against all illness and viruses. We pray that God would grant him relief from COPD and asthma, especially in this heat, and restore to him easy and full breath, for He is the Lord who heals us and sustains our life.
We thank God for His compassion and for hearing our prayers through His Son, by whom we have access to the Father. We pray that your son would feel the comfort and presence of Christ in this trial, and that you would be strengthened and encouraged as you trust Him.
May the Lord grant wisdom to his doctors and caregivers, and may He be glorified in bringing health and peace. We continue to stand with you in prayer, asking all this in the saving name of Jesus, our only hope and healer. Amen.

Thank you for sharing your burden for your son. We join you in bringing him before the Lord and asking for His mercy and healing touch.
Scripture shows us that Jesus came preaching and teaching and healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people. Once when He was in Galilee, a father came to Him about his son who was gravely ill. Jesus simply spoke the word, and though He was many miles away, the Spirit of God worked and the boy was healed. At another time in Jerusalem by the pool called Bethesda, He healed a man who had been unable to walk for years. He healed the servant of a centurion, He healed Peter's mother in law of a fever, and crowds came to Him with every infirmity and He healed them. His works were not His own alone. He said He does what He sees the Father doing, and His works are the Father's works. The Father has given all judgment to the Son so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father, and the Son gives life to whom He wills. He has authority over the physical realm and over sickness, and over the spiritual realm as well.
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, the only begotten Son whom the Father loves and in whom He is well pleased. At His baptism the Father declared this, and Peter confessed it, and upon that truth that Jesus is the Son of God the church is built. By believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, we have life in His name. We are not sons in the same way He is. He alone is the begotten Son, full of grace and truth, sent to redeem us. We become sons and daughters by adoption through Him, and because we are His, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts so we can cry, Abba, Father. That is why we can come with confidence, because God so loved the world that He gave His only Son for us. The love the Father has for His Son helps us understand the depth of His love for us.
We also believe we can trust Jesus for physical healing as well as spiritual healing. All healing is from God. Sometimes He heals immediately with a word, as He did for the nobleman's son at a distance. Sometimes healing is gradual, through the processes He has built into our bodies. Those natural processes are still divine, because He created nature and the way our bodies mend and fight illness. There is much we do not understand about why some are healed quickly and others more slowly, but we do believe strongly that He still heals and that every true healing, whether sudden or gradual, is His work, even healing in our minds and emotions from wounds and scars.
So we pray for your son in the name of Jesus, the Son of God. We ask the Father to touch his lungs and airways, to remove inflammation, to cleanse any infection, and to make his breathing easy even in the heat. We ask the Lord to strengthen his immune system and the natural defenses God placed in his body to fight off illness and viruses. We ask for relief from COPD and asthma, for clear airways and for strength with each breath. We ask that the Lord, who has power over the physical body, would restore and sustain him according to His wisdom and mercy.
Continue to look to Jesus and trust Him. He knows your son, He loves him, and He hears your prayer offered in His name. May the Lord give you peace as you rest in the care of the Father and the Son, and may your son know the life and healing that come through believing in Jesus.
