We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the power to break every chain. The Word of God declares, "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB). We recognize that the battle you face is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).
First, we must address the root of these controlling spirits. The Bible is clear that any spirit that does not confess Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God but is the spirit of the antichrist (1 John 4:2-3). We rebuke every kingdom, principality, and power that has sought to establish itself in your life. Jesus came to set the captives free, and "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). We command every controlling spirit to loose its grip in the name of Jesus Christ, for "the Son of God was revealed for this purpose, that he might destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8 WEB).
We also recognize that these spirits often gain access through open doors—unrepented sin, generational curses, trauma, or involvement in occult practices. Have you examined your life for any areas where the enemy may have gained a foothold? The Word says, "Neither give place to the devil" (Ephesians 4:27 WEB). If there are any areas of disobedience, we encourage you to confess and repent, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). Renounce any agreements made with darkness, whether knowingly or unknowingly, and submit fully to God. As James 4:7 declares, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every name. We stand with our brother/sister in faith, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask You to send Your warring angels to dismantle every kingdom and controlling spirit that has sought to oppress them. We break every chain, every curse, and every generational stronghold in the name of Jesus. We declare that they are free, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed!
Father, we ask You to fill every void in their life with Your Holy Spirit. Where the enemy has sought to control, let Your peace reign. Where there has been fear, let Your perfect love cast it out (1 John 4:18). Where there has been confusion, let Your wisdom and clarity prevail. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, and we declare that they are covered by the blood of the Lamb.
Lord, we ask You to reveal any areas where the enemy has gained access. Give them the courage to repent, renounce, and sever all ties with darkness. Strengthen them to walk in obedience to Your Word and to resist the devil, knowing that he must flee. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
We thank You, Father, for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We thank You for setting the captives free and for the authority You have given us to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We declare that our brother/sister is walking in freedom, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. Fill your mind with the Word of God, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17), and spend time in worship, for the enemy cannot stand in the presence of praise. Put on the full armor of God daily so that you may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
Remember, this is not a one-time battle but a daily walk of faith. Continue to submit to God, resist the devil, and draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:7-8). You are not alone in this fight—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts stands with you. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
