Hello, I'm relatively new to christianity (at least practicing). I know that prayer does a lot - especially when you put a little elbow grease behind it... Story so far... My loving husband of 11 years lost his teaching job last year, it took 6 months, but he found one in a new county. Once again, they are not renewing his contract... We almost lost our house to foreclosure last time, had no insurance for 6 months and our little girls could feel the stress and strain. A week ago (before the news of the contract) he found what he thinks is his dream job (in education, but not in a classroom). He was already working with the professional who helped him get his resume together last time on prepping it for this job (which he seems qualified for) before news of the contract. When he was told, he discussed his loss with his Asst. Principal who loves him, and knows a big wig in this company. She's going to put in a good word.
However, extra prayers never hurt. I am full time, but low salary - no insurance. I stick by my vows for better, worse, richer, poorer... So I know that we (as a family) will survive. I know that I can't worry about tomorrow - that God has planned what he has planned, but I also believe that he does intervene to those who try to be better people. Please pray for my husband and this job.
