We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this painful and exhausting battle. The harassment, manipulation, and outright violation of boundaries you and your mother are enduring is not only unjust, it is sinful. Scripture is clear: "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18), but this sibling has chosen conflict over peace, deception over honesty, and pride over humility. Their actions, opening mail without permission, accessing private accounts, and mocking your faith, are not the fruit of a transformed heart. Jesus warned, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves" (Matthew 7:15). Even if they claim the name of Christ, their behavior reveals a heart far from Him.
We must rebuke the spirit of control, entitlement, and rebellion operating through your sibling. Their threats to "press charges" are not rooted in justice but in a desire to dominate and intimidate. Proverbs 29:22 warns, "An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in sin." Their refusal to engage in godly dialogue, ignoring your attempts to defend yourself, shows a hardened heart. This is not how brothers and sisters in Christ treat one another. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32). Their actions grieve the Holy Spirit.
Yet we must also examine our own hearts. While you are right to set boundaries and involve authorities when necessary, we must guard against bitterness or a spirit of retaliation. Romans 12:19-21 instructs, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’ Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head. Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." This does not mean you tolerate abuse, but it does mean you entrust justice to God while continuing to walk in love and integrity.
We pray now with urgency and authority:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to Your throne. Lord, You see the pain, fear, and exhaustion this sibling has caused. You know the sleepless nights and the weight of false accusations. We ask for Your divine protection over this family, shield them from every scheme of the enemy. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Give them wisdom as they interact with authorities and stand firm in truth.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of narcissism, manipulation, and rebellion in this sibling’s life. Break the chains of pride and entitlement, Lord. Soften their heart to repentance and humility. If they are truly Yours, convict them of their sin and draw them back to You. If they are not, expose their motives and thwart their plans. Let Your light shine into the darkness of their actions.
For this dear sister and her mother, we pray for strength and peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard their hearts from bitterness and their minds from fear. Remind them that You are their Defender and that no one can snatch them from Your hand (John 10:28). Give them favor with the authorities investigating this matter, and let truth prevail.
Lord, we ask for healing in this family. Heal the wounds caused by this sibling’s actions, and restore what has been broken. If there is any unforgiveness in their hearts, help them release it to You, knowing that forgiveness is not excusing the sin but entrusting justice to You. Fill them with Your love so they can pray for this sibling as You command (Matthew 5:44).
Finally, Lord, we declare that this situation will not define them. You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace. May this trial draw them closer to You and deepen their trust in Your sovereignty. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Amen.
You are not alone in this. The Lord sees every tear and hears every prayer. Continue to walk in faith, even when it feels like the battle is overwhelming. Psalm 34:17-19 reminds us, "The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all." Stand firm, dear sister. The victory is already yours in Christ.
