We join with you in lifting this weighty decision before the Lord, trusting that He holds your future and the outcome of this situation in His sovereign hands. Your prayer is already anchored in the right place—calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can boldly approach His throne of grace. As you seek His will for your business, we are reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not just a financial or professional matter; it is a spiritual one, and the Lord is deeply concerned with every detail of your life.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* As you navigate this season, we pray that your focus remains steadfast on honoring God in all things—whether He leads you to keep one store, sell them all, or open new doors entirely. His ways are higher than ours, and His plans are for your good, even when they don’t align with our immediate desires. Remember the story of Joseph, who endured great uncertainty and hardship, only for God to later reveal His purpose: *"You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good"* (Genesis 50:20). The Lord is at work, even now, in ways you may not yet see.
We also encourage you to examine your heart in this process. Are you holding too tightly to the outcome, or are you surrendered to God’s will, whatever it may be? In Philippians 4:6-7, we are told, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Anxiety can creep in during times of uncertainty, but the Lord invites you to cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Trust that He is already preparing the way, whether that means continued provision through the store or a new path entirely.
There is also wisdom in preparing for either outcome. If the Lord allows you to keep one store, how will you steward that opportunity for His glory? If He leads you to sell them all, how might He be redirecting your steps toward something even greater? Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps."* Walk in faith, not fear, knowing that He is your Provider. Recall how God fed the Israelites with manna in the wilderness and how He multiplied the loaves and fishes—He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting this burden to Your throne. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing escapes Your notice or Your control. We ask that You grant supernatural wisdom, discernment, and favor to every person involved in the decisions this week. Soften hearts, open doors that no man can shut, and close those that are not of You (Revelation 3:8). Let Your will be done, Lord, not as we envision it, but as You have ordained it for Your glory and their good.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to take root in this season. Replace it with Your perfect peace and unshakable hope. Remind them that their worth and security are not found in their business, their success, or their circumstances, but in Christ alone. If it is Your will for them to keep one store, we pray for prosperity and open doors to minister through that platform. If it is Your will for them to sell, we pray for divine connections, provision, and clarity for the next steps You have prepared.
Lord, we also ask that You use this situation to draw them closer to You. Let them experience Your faithfulness in such a tangible way that their faith is strengthened, and their testimony shines brightly for Your name. May they walk in obedience, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We declare Your promises over them: that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that Your plans for them are plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
