We lift you up before the Father in the name of Jesus, our Provider and Sustainer, knowing that He sees your heart and your needs. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* You are not forgotten, and your dependence on Him in this season is precious in His sight. Yet we also recognize the struggle you face as a single mother, carrying the weight of providing for your children. The Lord calls us to trust in Him rather than in the uncertainty of overtime or the anxieties of this world. Matthew 6:31-33 says, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*
We gently urge you to examine where your trust truly lies. While it is natural to feel the pressure of bills and responsibilities, we must guard against allowing our security to rest in anything other than Christ. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your faith in this trial is an opportunity to demonstrate to your children—and to the world—that God is faithful, even when circumstances seem impossible.
We also pray for wisdom in stewardship. If there are areas where expenses can be adjusted, or if there are resources in your church or community to help single parents, we ask the Lord to open those doors. Luke 14:28 reminds us of the importance of planning: *"For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?"* This doesn’t mean you lack faith—it means you are walking in wisdom as you trust God to provide.
At the same time, we rebuke any spirit of fear or scarcity that may be whispering lies to your heart. The enemy wants you to believe that God’s provision is insufficient, but we declare over you the truth of 2 Corinthians 9:8: *"God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work."* Your children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and He will not abandon them—or you.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is trusting You in the midst of financial strain. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You open the floodgates of heaven to meet her every need. Restore the overtime hours that have been cut, or provide another source of income that will not only cover her bills but also allow her to be a blessing to others. Give her wisdom to manage what You provide with excellence, and protect her heart from anxiety. Let her children see Your faithfulness in this season and grow in their own faith as a result.
We rebuked any scheme of the enemy to steal, kill, or destroy her peace or provision. No weapon formed against her will prosper, for You, Lord, are her shield and her exceedingly great reward (Genesis 15:1). Strengthen her faith to seek Your Kingdom first, knowing that all these things will be added to her as she walks in obedience.
Father, we also ask that You surround her with a community of believers who can support her practically and spiritually. Let her not walk this path alone, but raise up godly mentors, friends, and even her children to be a source of encouragement. If there are areas where she has placed her trust in anything other than You, convict her gently and draw her closer to Your heart.
We declare that her testimony will be one of Your miraculous provision. Let her story bring glory to Your name and draw others to place their trust in You. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Bring your requests to Him with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6), and watch expectantly for how He will move. If you haven’t already, consider tithing as an act of faith, trusting God to honor your obedience (Malachi 3:10). And if you feel led, share your need with your church family—God often provides through His people.
You are not forgotten, and your labor—both at work and at home—is seen by Him. Keep pressing into Jesus, and He will carry you through.
