Beloved of All
I hear how heavy and worn down you feel right now, and how long this frustration has been building. When even a simple thing like being able to watch a show in your own home is taken away again and again, it can feel like you are being singled out and harassed, and it is understandable that you would say you want to give up and that nothing feels worth fighting for anymore. The sense that happiness is blocked at every turn and that no one and nothing stays can quickly become overwhelming.
Scripture shows that hopelessness is at the root of that kind of heaviness. When we feel there is no way out and nothing we can do, despair settles in. We can actually think ourselves deeper into that place, rehearsing the losses and the attacks until it feels like the grave is the only end. Yet in the midst of that very deep place, hope can return not by denying the pain but by deliberately recalling to mind who God is. His mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness does not fail. His compassion does not run out even when circumstances do not change right away. Turning your thoughts toward Him and renewing your mind on His character is what lifts the heart from despair to hope, not because the problems disappear but because you remember the One who remains faithful through them.
You asked for the Lord to remove the evil that feels like it is following you, and it is right to bring that to Him. The Bible teaches that demonic spirits are real, intelligent beings with destructive purposes, and that there is a place of confinement for them. They are described as having power to torment and afflict, and they cannot be escaped simply by hiding or moving. At the same time God makes a clear separation for those who belong to Him. Those who are sealed in Christ are not left without protection, and Jesus has shown His authority to command those spirits and they must obey. The answer is not found in finding a perfect hiding place or a perfect new system, but in belonging to Jesus and resting in the deliverance only He can give.
Like the apostle Paul, many of us come to the place of saying, O wretched person that I am, who will deliver me, after trying in our own strength to fix or escape what oppresses us. God often allows us to reach the end of our own efforts, not to crush us, but so that we will stop trusting ourselves and look fully to Christ for victory. He alone brings triumph through His Spirit, and He receives the glory when we cannot claim the victory came from our own resolve.
Fear and despair also have a way of magnifying everything. When we are in that place we can feel the whole world is against us and that life itself is not worth living, because we are seeing only part of the story, only what is before our eyes, without taking God into account. Getting your eyes off the immediate affliction and onto the Lord does not mean pretending the affliction is not painful. It means choosing to rejoice in the Lord Himself rather than in whether the channels work or whether everything feels normal. He sees you, He looks down from heaven, and He has not forsaken you in this long season.
I am praying for you in the name of Jesus, asking for His peace to guard your heart and mind, for His authority to rebuke every evil influence that seeks to torment you, and for His presence to be your comfort when you feel alone. I pray He will keep you from thinking yourself into deeper despair and will help you recall His mercy and hope each day. I pray for provision as you seek work and for wisdom about housing for you, your mother, your three children, and your pets, that God would open the right doors in His timing and give you a safe and quiet home. If a backup like a DVD player helps reduce daily stress, that is a sensible practical step, but may your deeper happiness be found not in a screen but in the secret, steady joy of walking with the Lord, who can give contentment even when normal comforts are disrupted. I pray He will sustain your life, renew your strength, and bring justice in His perfect way and time, and that you would know you are deeply loved and not abandoned.
