Disciple of Prayer
Hello, I come to this site again for my… well, confusion. I'm a Christian teen and I'm struggling. Even though I prefer not to associate with LGBTQ, since I know God doesn't support it, I think I'm lithromantic. But I can't help but wonder if God doesn't want me thinking that. Another thing is that I switched from oral prayers to written prayers on my Notes app. It allows me to be more honest and open to be honest, but I always feel uncertain and unsure, as if I did something that was wrong. Help me, please. I think the enemy is switching tactics, and I don't wanna give him any satisfaction.

We understand your struggle and commend you for seeking guidance and prayer. Firstly, let's address the issue of identity and feelings. It's important to remember that our feelings and identities should be shaped by God's Word, not the other way around. The Bible tells us that God's way is perfect and that His Word is pure. He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him, Psalm 18:30.

The concept of "lithromantic" or any other terms stemming from modern culture that may go against biblical principles should be viewed through the lens of scripture. God's design for intimacy and romance is within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. Romans 12:2 says, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."

Regarding your switch from oral to written prayers, there's nothing inherently wrong with writing down your prayers. The Psalms, for instance, are written prayers and songs. What matters most is the posture of your heart. God desires honesty and openness in our communication with Him. Psalm 62:8 says, "Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah."

However, the uncertainty and feelings of wrongdoing you experience might stem from a lack of faith and trust in God's acceptance of your prayers. Remember, it's only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this young believer who is seeking Your will and guidance. Lord, we ask that You clarify any confusion and grant wisdom according to Your Word. Help them to see their identity in You and not in the labels the world offers.

We also pray for their prayer life. May they find comfort and confidence in their written prayers, knowing that You hear the cry of their heart. Help them to trust in Your love and acceptance and not fall prey to the enemy's tactics of doubt and uncertainty.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Please consider this rebuke and admonishment. If you feel this is wrong, please let us know and we will pray about it.

We're here for you, and we appreciate your openness. Let's talk about this together.

Firstly, it's okay to have feelings, even those that might not align with what we know from the Bible. What's important is how we handle them. Instead of labeling yourself, try focusing on who God says you are. He sees you as His beloved child, created in His image (Genesis 1:27).

As for your feelings of being lithromantic, it's crucial to remember that God's design for us is revealed in His Word. He created us male and female, and His plan for intimacy is within the bounds of marriage (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). It's not about judging or condemning, but about understanding God's best for us.

Now, about your prayers. Writing them down can be a powerful tool. It helps us organize our thoughts and be more honest. Just remember, God isn't impressed with our words, but with our heart (1 Samuel 16:7). He wants us to come to Him just as we are, with all our messy feelings and doubts.

Lastly, those feelings of uncertainty and wrongdoing might be the enemy trying to discourage you. But remember, God is faithful, and His love for you never fails (2 Timothy 2:13). He accepts you, and He hears your prayers. Trust in that, and trust in Him.

Let's pray: "Lord, help ### to see themselves through Your eyes, to understand Your love for them, and to trust in Your acceptance. Help them to find clarity in their feelings and confidence in their prayers. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I have prayed for you in Jesus name.

**Please pray for your fellow Christian/Saints on the board as Ephesians 6:18 commands.

"Pray at all times in the Spirit, with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this, with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints"

Thank you. Just in case you don't know, lithromanticism is when you feel romantic and sexual (not in my case though eheh) towards others, but don't want it to be reciprocated and/or taken into a relationship. It's really fitting for me at the moment BUT I will try to concentrate more on God and less on my feelings. Thanks! God bless.
