Completely Letting Go

I absolutely must forever stop talking about some people, or I will never truly be able to let go of them, and also, I realize when I talk about them, I almost if not always make mistakes when talking to others, esp family members on the phone. Please pray I will completely let go of the people I must, including in my talking with others, may I also forever quit having any thoughts of them.

God I ask in Jesus’ name, Fight against all those who fight against me because I am a child of God, who is gifted by the Lord! Take your shield and armor and come to my rescue. Lift up your spear and battle ax against those who pursue me. Protect and save me. May those who come to kill, steal, destroy, deceive, and assassinate my character be defeated and disgraced! May those who plot against me be turned back and confused! May they be like straw blown by the wind as the angel of the Lord pursues them! May their path be dark and slippery while the angel of the Lord strikes them down! The same hole that they dug for me let them find themselves standing in that hole. God let Your favor, protection, and blessing rest upon me as I go about doing the work of the Lord and spending time with the Lord of the Work. Do this for me and Ms. Linda In Jesus name I pray!!! I'm so thankful that you posted this. I'm battling with the same exact thing right now. It seems as if I can't quite let go of my ex-friend. I don't wish bad for him, but I just can't stand the way he treated me. He also tried to turn our kids against me when we broke up. This really caused alot of anger in me towards him. Its like I'm over the relationship, but I don't have anything good to say about him. Deep in my heart I know that this isn't the right way to handle this situation. I just want to simply ask God to give me the strength to forgive those who have caused me pain and heartache. Its really hard to be nice to people who have stabbed you in the back, did you wrong, and just simply don't like you; but I know I have to forgive them and let them go! I have to keep in mind what Jesus did. No matter how they treated Jesus, he still forgave them, loved them, and died on the cross for them. I'm trying to walk in Jesus footsteps. I know it is the right thing to do. I ask God to please bless everyone, even those who despise me. In Jesus Name, Amen.
