Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (###) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, ### problems, ###, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for almost three months, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

Update: The landlord hasn't returned the security deposit or the repair costs I paid the technicians... Please pray that he repays everything he owes us!

Update: The community house manager hasn't returned the repair costs, though she promised to do so three months ago. I also paid to repair the house's electricity system which is not lawfully my responsibility to cover the cost as a tenant.

We join with you in prayer in Jesus' mighty name over this prolonged and painful situation with your landlord and the community house manager, and we thank you for continuing to bring this before the Lord with persistence.

We hear your distress over the lack of electrical safety in the apartment, the illness and other problems that followed, the costs you bore for alternative shower facilities, the threats and inappropriate actions, and now the added burden that the security deposit and the repair costs you paid to technicians have not been returned, including the electrical system repairs which were not lawfully your responsibility as a tenant. It is right to seek justice in this, for God cares deeply about honesty, fairness and how we treat one another.

The Lord says You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him Leviticus 19:13 and A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight Proverbs 11:1. When wages or deposits or debts are withheld, Scripture is clear, You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy Deuteronomy 24:14 and again Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies James 5:4. To threaten, to act inappropriately, and to withhold what is owed is unjust in the sight of God, and we rebuke that behavior as contrary to His righteousness and to the command to love your neighbor as yourself Matthew 22:39 and to do to others as you would have them do to you Luke 6:31.

We also understand your discouragement after nearly three months of praying without communication, remorse or willingness to make things right. We encourage you to not grow weary, for God sees and He is a refuge in times of trouble Psalm 9:9. We are called to not avenge ourselves, but give place to God's wrath, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. This does not mean we do nothing, but that we entrust justice to Him while also acting wisely and peaceably. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. Keep careful records of all costs and communications, seek godly and lawful counsel where appropriate, and continue to commit your cause to Him who judges righteously.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. You see all that has happened in this apartment, the unsafe conditions, the suffering and illness, the fear caused by threats, and the financial burden of repairs and deposits that have not been returned. Lord, You are the God who heals, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3, and we ask for Your healing touch upon this dear one's body and peace upon their mind. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6, and we make this request known now.

Holy Spirit, we ask that You awaken and stir the consciences of the landlord and the community house manager. Bring conviction where there has been hardness, and lead them to repentance and to do what is right and good in Your sight. May they learn to do well, seek justice, relieve the oppressed Isaiah 1:17 and to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God Micah 6:8. Move them to return the security deposit and every repair cost that is owed, to provide fair compensation for the suffering and extra expenses, and to cease from all threats and inappropriate actions. We pray they would act honestly and quickly, as you require.

Lord, we also pray for protection over Your child, guard them from harm and from bitterness. Help them to continue to love their enemies and pray for those who mistreat you Matthew 5:44 while trusting You as the righteous Judge. Provide for every need, for You have promised to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, and to be near to all who call upon You in truth.

We thank You, Father, that we have access to You only through Jesus, for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We rest in the name of Jesus who intercedes for us.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord who loves justice Psalm 33:5 will bring truth to light in His perfect timing and will comfort and provide for you as you wait upon Him.

We are praying with you in this long wait, almost three months with no answer, no remorse, and real costs still unpaid is discouraging, especially when you have also been dealing with illness and the stress of unsafe housing. It makes sense you would feel worn down and overlooked.

When a housing dispute drags on, it can help to have a clear, calm structure for communication. One approach we have seen help in situations like yours is a mediation process, where an impartial person helps both sides talk through the issues privately and work toward a fair settlement without the expense and strain of court. Many communities have low-cost housing mediation services, and some offer a faith-based approach. A local tenant advocacy organization or legal aid office can also help you understand what is lawfully the landlord's responsibility and how best to document your requests.

If it would help, it may be worth gathering your receipts, the repair invoices, the security deposit agreement, and any written promises about repayment, and sending a brief, dated letter summarizing what is owed and asking for a written response by a specific date. Keep copies of everything.

We also notice you mentioned illness, please continue to stay in touch with a medical professional for care alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this burden to You in Jesus' name. You see the financial need, the health concerns, and the frustration of waiting. Grant wisdom for next steps, provision for what is owed, and peace in the waiting. Stir all involved toward what is right and good, and guard this dear one's heart with Your presence. Amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord with sincere burden of heart, and we join with you in seeking His mercy and His justice in this matter.

We have heard of the troubles that have come upon you through lack of electrical safety in the apartment, the illness that followed, the costs you have borne for alternative provision and for repairs which were not yours by law to bear, together with threats and other unworthy dealings, and the withholding of the security deposit and those repair costs both by the landlord and by the house manager though promise was made. It is no small trial to wait these three months and to find no communication, no remorse, and no willingness to make restitution, and we understand how this weighs upon both body and spirit.

We will pray in the mighty name of Jesus that the Lord, who loves righteousness and justice, would move upon those who owe you what is just. We ask that He would awaken and stir the conscience of the landlord by the Holy Spirit, that he may be brought to repentance where he has done wrong, and to do good in rendering what is due. We ask the same for the community house manager, that what was promised would be fulfilled and that integrity would govern all dealings. We pray that the Lord would provide for your health and restore you from the infirmity that has come upon you, and that He would guard you from further threat or harm, and make a way for every lawful debt to be repaid.

Do not grow weary in prayer though the answer tarries. Our Lord teaches us to persevere in seeking Him, for faith both enlightens and strengthens the soul to wait upon Him till He gives a comfortable answer. It is contrary to His nature to refuse to bless those who seek Him aright, and He spies out even the beginnings of faith as a grain of mustard seed. Keep on seeking His grace, and leave this cause in His hands, who will not forsake the work of His hands.

Remember also that there is forgiveness with God, that He may be feared. If any in this matter need forgiveness, it is to be found only in Christ, who Himself supplied the penalty which justice demanded, and who blots out sin and remembers it no more. We pray that all parties may know that forgiveness, and that where wrong has been done, there may be true repentance which brings forth fruit in honest restitution. May the Lord keep your own heart from bitterness, and enable you, as one who has received full and eternal forgiveness for Christ's sake, to act with grace while you rightly seek what is just.

We commit you to Him who hears the cry of those who are burdened and who will in His own time make the right to shine forth. May He grant you peace, provide for your needs, and establish you in His keeping to the end.
