Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (###) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, ### problems, ###, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for almost three months, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

Update: The landlord hasn't returned the security deposit or the repair costs I paid the technicians... Please pray that he repays everything he owes us!

Update: The community house manager hasn't returned the repair costs, though she promised to do so three months ago. I also paid to repair the house's electricity system which is not lawfully my responsibility to cover the cost as a tenant.

Suffering

Poverty destroys the poor, and it calls us to confront the suffering it creates and act with urgency.
Our Life, Our Work, Our Change
Endure life’s brief warfare with patient faith, trusting God’s appointed time brings eternal rest.
We hear the weight of what you have carried for these many months and we join you in bringing this burden before the Lord together in Jesus' name. To wait nearly three months with no communication, no remorse and no willingness to make restitution, and then to also bear the loss of your security deposit and the repair costs you paid for the electrical system and for technicians, is deeply discouraging. We also lift before the Lord the additional burden with the community house manager who promised repayment three months ago and has not fulfilled that promise, and the fact that you paid for repairs to the house electrical system which was not lawfully your responsibility as a tenant. We pray for your health after the illness that developed, for the costs of alternative shower facilities, and for protection from threats and other inappropriate actions.

The Lord sees injustice and He cares about honest dealings. Scripture reminds us that justice matters to Him, for He says Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:17 and You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. Leviticus 19:13 and A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight. Proverbs 11:1 We take comfort that the Lord does not overlook what is owed, and He calls those who withhold what is due to repent and do what is right. At the same time we are taught not to avenge ourselves but to trust Him, for it is written Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 and we are to overcome evil with good and to pray for those who mistreat us. Pray for those who mistreat you. Matthew 5:44

We are encouraged by the parable of the persistent widow who kept coming to the unjust judge seeking justice, and Jesus told it to show that we ought always to pray and not give up. Luke 18:1-5 Even when answers seem delayed, we are to continue to trust that our heavenly Father hears and will bring about justice in His perfect time and way. We also remember that governing authorities are appointed to restrain wrongdoing, for he is a servant of God to you for good. Romans 13:4 Therefore it is right and wise to seek lawful and peaceful means to pursue what is owed, keeping careful records, seeking godly counsel and, where appropriate, using the proper legal channels for tenancy disputes, while keeping our hearts free from bitterness. See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God, that no root of bitterness springing up troubles you. Hebrews 12:15

We lift you up now in prayer together.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to You. Acts 4:12, John 14:6 We thank You that You are a God of justice and mercy, that You see all that has happened in this apartment, the lack of electrical safety, the suffering and illness that followed, the financial loss for technicians and for alternative shower facilities, and the hurt caused by threats and inappropriate actions. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon this dear one, for You are the one who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:3 We ask that You restore health and strength and bring peace to mind and body.

Lord, we pray that by Your Holy Spirit You would awaken and stir the conscience of the landlord and also of the community house manager. Bring conviction where there has been hardness, and lead them to repentance and to do what is right and good. Grant them a willingness to return the security deposit and to repay all repair costs and compensation that is justly owed, and to act with honesty and integrity. We pray that You would protect from any further threats or wrongdoing, for You are our refuge and fortress. Psalm 91:2

Father, we ask for wisdom and provision for every next step. Show what lawful and peaceful path to take, provide wise counsel and favor, and guard this heart from anxiety and bitterness. We cast all our worries on You because You care for us. 1 Peter 5:7 and we trust Your promise that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 Help us to wait patiently upon You while also acting diligently and righteously. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. Psalm 37:5

We ask all this in the name of Jesus, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

We encourage you to continue in persistent prayer while also taking practical steps. Keep all receipts, written communications, photos and medical notes in order, and seek trustworthy local advice regarding tenant rights and mediation or tenancy tribunals so that what is owed may be restored lawfully and peaceably. Continue to pray for the landlord and manager rather than harboring resentment, asking God to bring them to repentance, and guard your own heart by bringing your anxiety to Him daily. Do not be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 The Lord is near to you in this trial and He will not abandon you, and we continue to stand with you asking Him to bring justice, healing and restoration in His time.

We have been following your updates over these three months and we hear how heavy this has become. Waiting without any word or willingness to make things right, while you are still carrying the costs for the electrical work, the security deposit, and even finding a safe place to shower, would wear anyone down. To be dealing with health effects and threats in your own home on top of that is a lot to carry, and we are holding that with you in prayer.

We are praying with you for what is fair and just, that what you paid out of pocket would be returned and that you would be treated with honesty and respect going forward. It makes sense to long for the landlord and the house manager to take responsibility. When someone offers real restitution it is often the clearest sign they mean to do what is right, and we are asking God to stir their consciences toward that kind of action.

One steady step that often helps in situations like this is to keep everything together in one place, copies of receipts for the electrical repairs and technicians, the deposit agreement, any written promise to repay, and a simple dated note of conversations or threats. If you have not already, a local tenant advice service, housing office, or legal aid clinic can often look over those papers and explain what options are available where you live, so you do not have to press for answers alone.

We noticed you mentioned illness as well, and if you are still having symptoms we encourage you to stay in touch with a medical professional as you are able, alongside prayer.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. Bring healing where there has been harm, provide protection and provision in their home, move on the hearts of the landlord and manager to act justly and return what is owed, and give wisdom and peace as next steps become clear. Amen.

We have heard your burden and the long waiting which has pressed upon you these three months, with illness and expense and promises unkept, and we bring it before the Lord who is light and in whom is no darkness at all.

You ask for justice, for what is owed to be repaid, for the cost of repairs which was not yours to bear, for the deposit, for the suffering that followed the want of care in the dwelling entrusted to you. It is right to seek what is honest and due, for the Lord loves truth and He deals with things in the light, treating them as they are. He never has fellowship with misrepresentation, and He will not call wrong right. To ask that a conscience be awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and to repent is a prayer according to His will, for He is infinitely just and His justice demands that wrong be owned and, where it may be, restored. Continue to stand in the light before Him, dealing with Him in sincerity, laying aside all insincerity, for sincerity is indispensable to mercy.

We know the weariness of no answer, no remorse, no willingness to make amends. The Lord is not slack as men count slackness. He threatened not in haste, but gave space for repentance, and even now He waits to be gracious. Yet He is close at hand with all His adversaries, and He is not playing with sinners. The same God who is merciful is also just, and He can be just and yet the justifier of him that believeth in Jesus. Take your sense of injustice with you to Gethsemane and to the hall of Pilate, and see there how justice was satisfied. The cloud of justice charged with fiery hail fell not upon you, but spent its fury upon the Saviour's heart, that every soul that repents and believes might be pardoned. There justice and mercy meet. If justice itself, having been satisfied at the cross, now goes hand in hand with the sinner to demand his pardon, how much more will that same justice stand for the poor and the wronged in the affairs of this life.

We pray for you in Jesus mighty name that the Lord would heal what illness has wrought, for He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds with downy fingers and with soft and winning kindness. We pray that He would grant you strength in body, peace in mind, and provision for every need, for alternative shelter and for daily bread. We pray that He would move upon the landlord and upon the house manager, that their consciences would be pricked, that they would no longer walk in darkness but come into the light, confess what is true, and render what is due. May the Lord grant them repentance and a desire to do justly, to return the deposit and the repair costs, and to cease from threats and inappropriate actions. May He turn impudent rage into humble confession, that they may seek to make restitution as those who have been brought to a better mind.

In the meantime, walk with God in the light. Commit your cause to Him who judgeth righteously, use all lawful and honest means that are placed in your hand, keep a clear record as one who deals in the light, and leave vengeance to Him. He hears the sad complaints and spies His image in weeping eyes. He will not despise a broken and contrite heart that seeks Him.

We join our faith with yours and ask the Father, in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, to do that which is right, to awaken what is asleep, to heal what is wounded, and to provide according to His mercy and justice. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
