Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (###) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, ### problems, ###, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for almost three months, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

Update: The landlord hasn't returned the security deposit or the repair costs I paid the technicians... Please pray that he repays everything he owes us!

Update: The community house manager hasn't returned the repair costs, though she promised to do so three months ago. I also paid to repair the house's electricity system which is not lawfully my responsibility to cover the cost as a tenant.

We join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord in Jesus' mighty name, and we thank you for continuing to seek prayer even through these long and discouraging months of waiting without communication or remorse. We hear your distress over the lack of electrical safety in the apartment, the illness that followed, the extra costs for alternative shower facilities, the threats and other inappropriate actions, and now the withholding of your security deposit and the repair costs you paid to technicians and for the house electricity system which was not your lawful responsibility as a tenant.

We know the Lord sees all that has happened and He is a God of perfect justice and mercy. He does not overlook oppression or dishonest dealing. For Yahweh loves righteousness and justice. Psalm 33:5 and He has said, You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. Leviticus 19:13. Do not rob the poor, because he is poor, neither oppress the afflicted in the gate, for Yahweh will plead their cause, and plunder the life of those who plunder them. Proverbs 22:22-23. We are grieved by the injustice you have described and we rebuke the withholding of what is rightfully owed and any threatening or negligent behavior, for such things are contrary to the good and upright way the Lord commands us to walk with one another.

At the same time we are called not to take vengeance into our own hands but to entrust justice to God while pursuing what is right in a peaceful and lawful way. Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Isaiah 1:17. We encourage you to continue to document all that you have paid and suffered, to seek godly and wise counsel, and if needed to use the lawful authorities and mediation that God has ordained for resolving such disputes, for rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Romans 13:3. Do this with a heart that seeks restoration rather than revenge, remembering the example of Zacchaeus who when his conscience was stirred said, If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much. Luke 19:8.

We also lift up your health before the Great Physician, for we know illness has come as a result of these conditions. He says, I am Yahweh who heals you. Exodus 15:26 and we hold to the promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son, for it is only through Him we have access to You. We lift up this dear one who has suffered loss, illness, extra expense, and distress. Lord, You know the details of the electrical dangers, the failure to provide a safe dwelling, the costs borne for repairs and for shower facilities, and the security deposit and other funds that have not been returned. We ask that You would awaken and stir the conscience of the landlord and of the community house manager by Your Holy Spirit, bringing conviction that leads to repentance and to doing what is just and good. Soften their hearts to communicate with honesty, to acknowledge wrong, and to repay everything that is owed without delay.

Lord, bring healing to the body that has been made ill, restore strength and peace, and guard this dear one from further threats or inappropriate actions. Provide for every financial need according to Your riches in glory, and grant wisdom for the next steps to seek what is right with integrity. Keep this heart from growing weary or bitter while waiting, but help to cast all anxiety upon You. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Help to not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9.

We trust You as the righteous Judge who will plead the cause of Your people and who loves justice. Psalm 11:7. Let Your will be done in this situation and let restitution be made fully and fairly, that Your name may be glorified through repentance and reconciliation. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear how heavy this has been, waiting almost three months with no communication or willingness to make things right while you are still carrying repair costs, the deposit, and extra expenses for shower facilities that were not yours to bear. Living with electrical problems, health concerns, and threats in your own home is exhausting, and it makes sense you feel worn down and unseen.

Part of what makes this kind of waiting so hard is the gap between what should have happened - a sincere apology and fair repayment - and what has actually happened, which is silence. It is understandable to want to guard your heart from bitterness while also wanting what is owed to be returned. Those two things are different, and seeking a just and honest resolution does not mean you have failed to show grace.

As you keep praying for the landlord and the house manager to be moved to do what is right, a couple of steady steps may help you feel less stuck. Keeping a simple file with receipts, repair invoices, the deposit agreement, and any written promises or messages can bring clarity. It may also help to talk with a local tenant advice service or other trusted advocate who knows the rules for deposits and repairs where you live, so you understand your options going forward. And since you mentioned illness that followed these problems, if you have not already, please do see a clinician for care alongside prayer.

Father, we bring this situation to You in Jesus' name. You see every cost, every unanswered message, and the toll this has taken. We ask for wisdom and provision for our friend, for healing and strength, and that You would stir the consciences of the landlord and manager to act fairly and honestly. Give peace in the waiting and guide the next steps. Amen.

Your long and heavy trial has been heard with much sympathy, and your cry for justice has been laid before the Lord. To wait almost three months without communication or remorse, to bear illness and distress through lack of electrical safety, to be put to cost for alternative shower facilities and to endure threats and inappropriate actions, and then to be left without the return of your security deposit and the monies you expended for repairs, even for the house system which as a tenant you were not lawfully bound to repair, is a burden which any tender conscience must feel.

We are reminded that as it is written, the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord, and we are only tenants. Every earthly landlord is himself a tenant under the great Landlord of heaven and earth, who has at all times the right to enter and to require an account. He sees what is done in secret, He marks every threat and every failure to do good, and His justice is unimpeachable. Justice once satisfied cannot ask for more, but justice unsatisfied still calls for what is right. Therefore we may with confidence commit your cause to Him who can be just and yet the justifier, believing that He will not despise the prayer of the afflicted.

We will pray in Jesus mighty name that the Lord will stir the conscience of your landlord and also of the community house manager who promised repayment. As Peter was restored not by mere words but by a look from the Lord which broke his heart and brought him to bitter tears and then to true repentance, so we pray that the Holy Spirit will awaken these who owe you what is due, that they may see their duty, repent of harshness and neglect, and do good as before God. We ask that what has been withheld may be restored, that the security deposit and every lawful cost for repairs and for your suffering and illness may be repaid, and that compensation for the problems you have endured may be rendered honestly and without further delay.

We pray also for you, that the Lord who restores dead bones to life and lifts the fallen will sustain you in this waiting, keep you from bitterness, guard your health, and provide for your needs. May you offer the key of your house anew to the great Landlord, trusting Him to set your house in order and to pay you with His peace while you wait for earthly justice.

We will continue to bear you up before the throne of grace, that righteousness may be done, that repentance may be wrought where it is needed, and that you may know the Lord's nearness and provision in this trial. Amen.
