Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (###) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, ### problems, ###, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for almost three months, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

Update: The landlord hasn't returned the security deposit or the repair costs I paid the technicians... Please pray that he repays everything he owes us!

Update: The community house manager hasn't returned the repair costs, though she promised to do so three months ago. I also paid to repair the house's electricity system which is not lawfully my responsibility to cover the cost as a tenant.

We join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord in Jesus mighty name, and we thank you for persisting in prayer even when for almost three months there has been no communication, no remorse, and no repayment. We hear how heavy this has been, the electrical dangers in the apartment, the illness that followed, the added costs for alternative shower facilities, the threats and inappropriate actions, and now the withholding of the security deposit and the repair costs you paid for work that was not lawfully your responsibility as a tenant, including the house electricity system and the amount the community house manager promised to return.

We are reminded that our God is a God of justice and mercy who sees what is done in secret and does not overlook oppression. His word says Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed Isaiah 1:17 and A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight Proverbs 11:1. It also says You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him Leviticus 19:13. To withhold what is rightly due, whether wages or a deposit or reimbursement for repairs that belong to the owner, does not align with His righteous standard. At the same time we are called to not avenge ourselves but to trust Him, for Vengeance belongs to me says the Lord. I will repay Romans 12:19, and to commit our way to Him. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. He will make your righteousness shine out like light Psalm 37:5-6.

We also remember the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:7-8 where Jesus assures us that God will bring justice to his chosen who cry out to him day and night, and we take comfort that your continued crying out is heard even when man remains silent. We do not pray for revenge but for righteousness, for restoration, and for repentance. We pray that the Holy Spirit would awaken and stir the conscience of the landlord and also of the community house manager, to convict them of what is right, to turn from threats and dishonesty, and to do good and make full restitution.

We lift you up now together.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we have access to You and no other name by which we are saved Acts 4:12. We thank You that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and that You heal and restore. We ask You to touch the illness that developed as a result of these conditions and to bring complete healing, for You forgive all our sins and heal all our diseases Psalm 103:3. We ask for Your peace to guard this dear one's heart and mind as anxiety has had reason to grow, and we claim Your promise that in nothing we should be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving our requests be made known to You, and Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

Lord, You see the financial loss, the shower costs, the technicians' fees, the security deposit, and every repair that should not have been borne by the tenant. We ask that You move upon the landlord and the manager to repay everything they owe, to act honestly and promptly, and to cease all threats and inappropriate actions. Soften their hearts to repent and to do what is just and fair in Your eyes. Where there has been hardness or greed, grant conviction and a desire to make things right. Protect this tenant from further harm and provide safe housing and provision for every need according to Your riches in glory Philippians 4:19.

We also pray for wisdom and endurance for the one who has waited so long. Help us not to let bitterness take root Hebrews 12:15, but to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us Matthew 5:44 while still seeking what is just through lawful and peaceable means. Give guidance to seek wise counsel and proper documentation and to use the authorities You have appointed for justice Romans 13:1-4 if needed. Sustain faith during this long delay and let Your will be done, trusting that You are working even when we do not yet see the answer.

We continue to stand with you, agreeing that the Lord will bring light to this situation, bring healing to your body, bring protection over you, and bring the landlord and manager to a place of repentance and restitution. We will keep praying until the Lord brings resolution in His perfect way and timing. In Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.

We've been holding your situation before the Lord and we can hear how discouraging these three months of silence have been. To carry the cost of repairs that were not yours to carry, to still be waiting for your deposit, and to deal with health concerns and threats on top of it, is a lot to bear. It makes sense you feel worn down and overlooked.

We want to encourage you to keep caring for both the practical and personal sides of this. On the practical side, it can help to keep everything together in one place, dates, receipts from the technicians, copies of messages where the manager promised repayment, photos of the electrical issues, and any medical notes about the illness. With that folder in hand, a local tenant advice service, housing office, or legal aid clinic can often review what options you have for a formal written request, which sometimes moves things when informal asking has not.

Please also keep getting care for your health. If the illness and related symptoms are ongoing, continuing with your doctor alongside prayer is wise.

Father, we bring this burden to You in Jesus' name. You see what has been paid and what is owed, and You see the strain on body and mind. Give wisdom for the next step, provide for what is needed, and work in the landlord and manager to act justly and with a clear conscience. Guard and comfort our friend while they wait. Amen.

Your long affliction has been laid before the Lord, and though for three months you have waited without word or redress from man, you have not waited unheard in heaven. We have carried your burden to the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus, through whom alone we have access to the Father and in whom alone salvation is found.

Bear this in mind, that the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord, and that we are only tenants. There is a clause in every lease which some forget, namely that the Landlord has at all times the right to enter and to view His own property, and to call His tenants to account. Your earthly landlord and the manager of the house must themselves one day give account to this great Landlord, who sees every threat, every neglected duty, every penny withheld that is justly due. We pray that He who searches the heart will awaken the conscience of this landlord and of the manager, and stir them by the Holy Spirit to do good and to repent, to speak at last with honesty and to render what is owed.

We pray also for you, that the Lord will restore to you what has been taken by injustice, the security deposit and the costs you bore for repairs which were not lawfully yours to bear as a tenant, and the expense of seeking safety elsewhere when the dwelling was made unsafe by lack of electrical care. We ask the Lord to look upon the bodily suffering that has followed, and to grant healing and strength, and to be your shield against all inappropriate and threatening dealings.

Know that our God is slow to anger. The lictor of divine justice carries his axe bound up in a bundle of rods, for He will not cut off men until He has reproved them that they may repent. He is slow to threaten and slow to execute, giving space for repentance. Yet the Scripture is plain that He will not at all acquit the wicked. His justice is like the great mountains, high and immovable, and shall not the Judge of all the earth do right. No convinced conscience will ever rail against that justice, but will own that God is righteous in all His ways.

Here is your comfort if conscience clamours and justice seems to delay. Take Justice with you to Gethsemane and to Calvary, and see there how Justice has been satisfied. All that the sinner ought to have suffered has been suffered by our Substitute, Jesus. His blood has paid the debt, so that God can be just and yet the justifier of him that believeth in Jesus. When Justice is once satisfied it were injustice if it should ask for more. Therefore we come boldly, not pleading our own merit, but pleading the promise of a faithful God who must forgive the repenting sinner if He be just according to His promise.

In this trial, offer anew the key of your house to the great Landlord and acknowledge that you live on sufferance as His tenant. The rent He asks is this, that you bless the Lord at all times and let His praise be continually in your mouth. Even in this vexation, let praise and prayer be your rent, and trust Him to arbitrate your cause. Christ knows your case and the law concerning it, for He has lived among men and borne the penalties of Justice, and He will see that strict justice is done, whether for or against, with fervent love toward His own.

So we pray: O Lord, Thou great Landlord of all, look upon Thy tenant in affliction. Heal the body, quiet the mind, provide for every need, and move the hearts of those who withhold what is due, that they may make full restitution and walk in uprightness. Grant repentance where there is hardness, and grant patience and faith where there is waiting. Let Thy justice be vindicated and Thy mercy glorified, and let Thy child rest in the finished work of Jesus, in whose name we ask it. Amen.
