Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (###) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, ### problems, ###, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for almost three months, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

Update: The landlord hasn't returned the security deposit or the repair costs I paid the technicians... Please pray that he repays everything he owes us!

Update: The community house manager hasn't returned the repair costs, though she promised to do so three months ago. I also paid to repair the house's electricity system which is not lawfully my responsibility to cover the cost as a tenant.

We have heard your burden and we are standing with you in prayer together in Jesus' mighty name for justice, healing, and restoration in this difficult landlord situation.

We understand how heavy this has been, carrying for almost three months the consequences of unsafe electrical conditions in your apartment, the illness that followed, the extra costs for alternative shower facilities, the threats and inappropriate actions, and now the added weight of an unreturned security deposit and repair costs that were not lawfully yours to bear as a tenant, including the house electricity system and the costs promised by the community house manager. Our hearts ache with you over the lack of communication, remorse, and willingness to make things right, and we bring all of this before the Lord who sees everything done in secret and who loves justice.

The Scripture reminds us You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him Lev 19:13 and Owe no one anything, except to love one another Rom 13:8. A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight Prov 11:1. We are also warned Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies Jas 5:4. The Lord is one who will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the needy Ps 140:12 and He calls us to Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed Isa 1:17. We know God does not overlook when what is owed is withheld.

We also hear your desire not just for repayment but for the landlord's conscience to be awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and to repent, and we agree with you in that. We pray for his heart and for the community house manager's heart as well, that God would convict and lead them to repentance and to honest dealing.

We pray together, Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we lift up this situation to Your throne of grace. You see the unsafe conditions, the suffering and illness that resulted, the financial loss, the shower costs, the repair bills paid out of necessity, and the security deposit that has not been returned. Lord, You know every threat and every inappropriate action, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask that You touch the heart of this landlord and the community house manager, that Your Holy Spirit would awaken their consciences, convict them of what is right, and move them to repentance and to repay everything they owe quickly and fully. We ask that You bring forth honest communication where there has been silence, and a willingness to make restitution. Father, we also ask for Your healing touch upon the body that has suffered illness because of these conditions, for You forgive all our iniquities and heal all our diseases Ps 103:3. Provide for every financial need, for You have promised to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus Phil 4:19. Give wisdom and peace in pursuing what is just through lawful and orderly means, keeping careful records and seeking godly counsel where needed, while we do not avenge ourselves but give place to Your wrath, for it is written Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Rom 12:19. Guard this dear one from bitterness and anxiety, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus Phil 4:7.

We encourage you to continue to cast your burden on the Lord, for He sustains and He hears. Though the wait has been long and discouraging, do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up Gal 6:9. Continue to document all costs, communications, and promises made, and seek wise, lawful help or mediation as the Lord leads, trusting that God can use both prayer and proper process to bring about justice. Keep praying for those who have wronged you, as Jesus taught to love your enemies and pray for those who mistreat you Matt 5:44, not to excuse wrongdoing but to keep your own heart free while God works for justice.

We are trusting with you that the Lord who is just and merciful will move in this situation, bring healing, restore what has been taken, and bring the landlord and manager to do what is right before Him. We continue to stand with you until answer comes, in Jesus' name, Amen.

We've read your updates and we can hear how heavy these three months have been. Waiting without any communication or willingness to make things right, while you are still carrying costs that were not yours to carry, is exhausting and discouraging. It makes sense you feel worn down.

One thing that sometimes helps in a long landlord matter like this is to have everything in one place so you are not carrying it all in your head. If you are able, keep a simple folder with copies of receipts for the technicians, the electrical work, shower costs, the deposit agreement, and dates of promises made, along with a short written timeline. Many towns also have a tenant advice service, housing office, or legal aid clinic that can review that folder and help you understand next steps for a formal written request. That does not replace prayer, it just gives you clearer footing.

If the health issues you mentioned are still troubling you, please also let a doctor know so you can get care and documentation.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this burden to You. You see what has happened in this apartment and the costs our friend has borne. We ask for wisdom for each next conversation and letter, for provision for what is owed, for healing and strength, and for peace while waiting. Move on the hearts of those responsible to do what is right, and guard our friend from bitterness in this long wait. Amen.

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we have heard the weight of these many weeks of waiting, of unanswered pleas, of illness and expense and threat, and of promises made and not kept concerning both the deposit and the costs you bore for repairs which were not yours to bear.

There is a justice which belongs to God, and it is unimpeachable. He is slow to anger, as the prophet Nahum declares, and the lictor of divine justice carries his axe bound up in a bundle of rods, for he will not cut off men until he has reproved them that they may repent. He is slow to threaten and slow to execute, giving space for conscience to be awakened. Yet the same word declares He will not at all acquit the wicked. No convinced heart rails against the justice of God, but rather says, let right be done. To withhold what is owed, to leave a dwelling unsafe for lack of care, to threaten rather than to make amends, these are matters which justice must weigh.

You have well asked that the Holy Spirit would stir the conscience of the landlord and of the manager to do good and to repent. This is a right prayer. We do not ask God to overlook wrong, but to make the heart tender to own it and to restore what justice requires. And we are reminded that in this life we are all tenants under one great Landlord. The house in which we dwell has God for its Landlord and we are only tenants, holding our lease at His pleasure and owing Him the rent of praise and obedience. He sees every house, every hidden wire, every sickness borne in secret, every coin spent for another's duty, and He will require an account. Nothing escapes His eye, and no suffering of His children is forgotten.

Let us pray with you now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father, and through whose blood justice itself is satisfied for all who trust in Him.

O Lord our God, Thou art just in all Thy ways and slow to anger, yet Thou lovest righteousness. Look upon Thy servant who has suffered in body and in estate through the neglect of those set over this dwelling. Thou knowest the lack of safety, the illness that followed, the cost of finding other provision for daily needs, the harsh words and threats endured, and the long silence of three months without remorse or recompense. We ask Thee to awaken conscience by Thy Holy Spirit. Bring conviction where there has been hardness, and grant repentance that leads to restitution. Move those who hold what is not theirs to return the deposit and the repair costs, and to pay what is justly owed for the harm done. Provide for Thy servant's healing and for every need that has arisen from this trial, and keep this household in safety under Thy care. Grant wisdom to seek what is lawful and right with a quiet and forgiving spirit, leaving no room for bitterness, and give patience to wait upon Thy perfect timing. All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Substitute and Advocate, in whom justice and mercy meet, Amen.

Take heart to continue in prayer and in the lawful and peaceable pursuit of what is owed, keeping your own conscience clear before God and man. He who is your true Landlord will not forsake His tenant. Commit your cause to Him who judgeth righteously, continue to bless His name even in this house of trial, and trust that He who has begun a good work will perfect it until the day of Christ.
