We join you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord and we have heard your cry for justice after months of waiting without communication, remorse, or repayment. We understand the distress of living with electrical safety problems, the illness that followed, the added costs for alternative shower facilities, the threats and inappropriate actions, and now the withholding of your security deposit and the repair costs you paid both to technicians and for the house electricity system which was not your responsibility as a tenant, along with the community house manager failing to repay what was promised three months ago. The Lord sees all that has been done and He cares deeply about both your suffering and about honesty in these matters.
We are reminded that God is a God of justice and righteousness. It is written in Prov 11:1 that a false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but accurate weights are his delight, and in Lev 19:13 you shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him, and in Deut 24:15 you shall give him his wages in his day, neither shall the sun go down on it. To withhold what is rightfully due, to fail to provide safe housing, and to use threats instead of good stewardship is not in keeping with the Lord's ways. At the same time we are called to not avenge ourselves but to give place to God's wrath, for it is written in Rom 12:19 vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. We are also taught in Luke 18:1 that we ought always to pray and not to give up, and in Luke 18:7 will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones who cry out to him day and night, and in Isa 1:17 to seek justice, relieve the oppressed. We do not harbor bitterness even as we seek what is right, as Eph 4:26 says be angry, and do not sin, and Ps 37:5 says commit your way to the Lord, trust also in him and he will do this.
We encourage you to continue in persistent prayer while also committing your way to the Lord in practical wisdom, keeping careful records of what you have paid and what was promised, seeking godly counsel and lawful help where it is available, and asking the Lord to provide for your needs while you wait, for Phil 4:19 says my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Ps 103:3 reminds us that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases.
We pray together now for you and for those who owe you what is due.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved, as Acts 4:12 declares. Lord, You see the unsafe conditions that were allowed to remain, the illness and distress that followed, the financial loss for repairs and for shower costs, and the weight of threats and unkept promises. We ask You to touch and heal the body that has suffered, to restore health and strength and to supply all that has been spent and withheld. We ask You to awaken and stir the conscience of the landlord and the community house manager by Your Holy Spirit, to convict them of what is right, to bring repentance where there has been hardness, and to move them to act justly and quickly to repay the security deposit and every repair cost that is owed. Let truth and integrity prevail and let any spirit of oppression or intimidation be rebuked and removed. Grant our dear one patience and peace that passes understanding as Phil 4:7 promises, guarding heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and keep bitterness far away while hope remains steadfast. Provide wise counsel, favor with authorities if lawful recourse is needed, and daily provision until justice is done. We trust Your timing and Your perfect justice, and we ask all this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
