Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (###) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, ### problems, ###, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for almost three months, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

Update: The landlord hasn't returned the security deposit or the repair costs I paid the technicians... Please pray that he repays everything he owes us!

Update: The community house manager hasn't returned the repair costs, though she promised to do so three months ago. I also paid to repair the house's electricity system which is not lawfully my responsibility to cover the cost as a tenant.

We hear your heart and we join with you in bringing this matter before the Lord, for He is a God of justice and compassion who sees all that has happened in that apartment and the suffering you have endured.

We know it has been almost three months of waiting without communication, remorse, or restitution, and we understand how discouraging it is to have paid for electrical repairs that were not your responsibility, to have suffered illness and other problems, to have borne the cost of alternative shower facilities, and to still be waiting for the return of your security deposit and the repair costs from both the landlord and the community house manager. We stand with you in praying for full and fair restoration.

The Lord cares deeply about justice in these matters. For the Lord loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever Psalm 37:28. And we are reminded Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor and don’t crush the needy in court for Yahweh will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them Proverbs 22:22-23. Also, You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until morning Leviticus 19:13. This principle speaks to withholding what is rightfully owed, whether wages, deposits, or reimbursement for costs that a landlord is lawfully responsible to bear.

We also pray as you asked that the Holy Spirit would awaken and stir the consciences of the landlord and the manager to do what is right and to repent where there have been threats and inappropriate actions. We pray they would do unto others as they would have others do to them, for this is the teaching of our Lord Luke 6:31. We ask God to convict them not to harm them, but to lead them to repentance and to make restitution, for godly sorrow produces repentance.

We encourage you to continue to seek justice in a way that honors God, without giving place to bitterness or vengeance, for it is written Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. That does not mean you should not pursue what is rightfully yours through lawful and peaceful means. Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow Isaiah 1:17. Keep careful records of what you paid, what was promised, and seek wise, godly counsel and lawful help where it is available, while continuing to commit your cause to the Lord.

We also lift up your health before the Father, for He is our healer and our refuge. We pray for complete healing from the illness that developed and for peace in place of the stress these problems have caused. Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We have heard your perseverance in prayer and we encourage you not to grow weary, for our Lord taught that men ought always to pray, and not to faint Luke 18:1 and Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up Galatians 6:9. The Lord hears and He will bring justice in His perfect time, and we trust He will also provide for your needs even as you wait.

We now pray together.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear one to You. You have seen the lack of electrical safety, the illness, the problems, the threats, and the financial burden of repairs and deposits that have not been returned. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon the body and for restoration of health. We ask that You would move upon the heart of the landlord and upon the community house manager, that their consciences would be awakened by Your Holy Spirit, that they would be convicted to speak truthfully, to repent for any wrongdoing, and to repay all that is owed, every deposit and every repair cost that is rightfully due. We pray that You would bring forth honest communication where there has been silence, and a willingness to make things right. We pray for protection over this dear one, for provision for every need, and for Your peace to guard the heart while waiting for justice. Let Your will be done and let justice roll on like rivers, and righteousness like a mighty stream Amos 5:24. We trust You as our defender and provider, and we ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our advocate and our hope. Amen.

We have read your updates and we understand how wearing this wait has been. For almost three months you have carried not only the extra costs for repairs and alternative showers and the worry about electrical safety, but also illness and the silence when you hoped for a simple acknowledgment. It makes sense you feel overlooked.

We join you in praying for what is fair and right to be done, and for the landlord and the house manager to take responsibility for what they owe. We also pray for your health and peace while you wait, and we encourage you to keep seeing a medical professional for the ongoing symptoms alongside prayer.

One step that often helps in situations like this is to keep everything in one place, copies of receipts, invoices from technicians, the written promise about repayment, and a brief dated log of communication attempts, and then to have that file reviewed by a local tenant advice service or legal aid clinic who can explain your options for a formal written request. It does not guarantee an outcome, but it can give you clarity and a next path.

Father, we lift this situation to You in Jesus name. You see the costs, the health strain, and the frustration of being unheard. We ask for wisdom and provision for our friend, for healing and rest, and that You would move on the hearts of the landlord and manager toward honesty and fairness. Give guidance for each next step. Amen.

Your burden has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord in prayer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and in whose atonement justice and mercy meet.

We are grieved to hear of the suffering you have endured in your dwelling, the want of electrical safety, the illness that has followed, the cost you have borne for what was not yours to bear, the threats and unworthy dealings, and the long delay of three months without communication or recompense, with your deposit and the costs of repair still withheld though promised. It is right to seek what is just and to ask the Lord to work both in circumstances and in consciences.

We are reminded that God is slow to anger. The lictor of divine justice carries his axe bound up in a bundle of rods, for He will not cut off men until He has reproved them that they may repent. He is very patient, yet He will not at all acquit the wicked, and His justice demands that what is due be rendered. At the same time we know that for the believer justice has been satisfied at the cross, where the cloud charged with fiery hail spent its fury upon the Saviour's heart, so that God can be just and yet the justifier of him that believeth in Jesus. It is this same just and merciful God to whom we pray for you.

We have prayed that the Lord would awaken and stir the conscience of your landlord and of the house manager, that the Holy Spirit would convict them of what is right and move them to repentance and to do good, to speak truthfully, to cease from threats and inappropriate actions, and to restore what is owed. We have asked the Lord in His providence to incline them to return the security deposit and the repair costs you paid for the house system, which as a tenant was not lawfully your burden, and to provide fair compensation for the distress and costs of alternative provision you have incurred. We have prayed also for your body, that the Lord who heals would restore you from the illness that followed these troubles and strengthen you day by day.

Bear in mind that the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord and we are only tenants upon sufferance, paying our rent in praise and obedience. He has at all times the right to enter and to dispose of His own property, and nothing escapes His eye. He sees the wrong done in secret and the promise broken, and He will in His own time and way bring forth righteousness. Commit your cause to Him who judges righteously, and continue to use lawful and peaceable means as God gives you wisdom, keeping your own heart from bitterness.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will provide for your needs, guard you from further harm, grant you favour in seeking what is justly due, and give you peace as you rest upon Christ who bore the punishment of sin that we might have peace with God. May the Lord keep you in perseverance in holiness and in trust, and may His will be done in this matter for your good and for His glory.
