Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (###) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, ### problems, ###, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for almost three months, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

Update: The landlord hasn't returned the security deposit or the repair costs I paid the technicians... Please pray that he repays everything he owes us!

Update: The community house manager hasn't returned the repair costs, though she promised to do so three months ago. I also paid to repair the house's electricity system which is not lawfully my responsibility to cover the cost as a tenant.

We join you in bringing this difficult and prolonged situation before the throne of grace in Jesus' mighty name, and we thank you for asking in His name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We have heard your heart after nearly three months of waiting without communication, remorse, or repayment, and we understand how wearying and discouraging this is. The lack of electrical safety in your apartment, the illness that followed, the costs you bore for alternative shower facilities, the repair costs for the house electricity system that was not your responsibility as a tenant, the unreturned security deposit, and the threats and other inappropriate actions you have endured are injustices that God sees fully. We pray for your healing and for God's justice and provision to be made manifest.

We are called to love our enemies and to seek peace, but Scripture also teaches that God loves justice and hates dishonest gain. A false balance and dishonest scales are an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight. Proverbs 11:1 The Lord also commands, You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. Leviticus 19:13 and Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies. James 5:4 To withhold what is rightfully owed, to break a promise to repay, and to threaten a tenant is not pleasing to God, and we gently but firmly rebuke such behavior as contrary to His righteousness. Whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also lend to them likewise. Luke 6:31

We also remember the word, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 This does not mean we should not seek what is rightfully and lawfully owed through proper and peaceful means, but that we entrust the outcome and the convicting of the heart to God while we act with integrity. Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Isaiah 1:17

Together we pray.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up our dear one to You. You see the suffering, the illness, the financial burden, the stress of threats and the long wait for justice. We ask first for Your healing touch upon the body that became ill, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 We ask that You provide for every need and repay what has been lost, for You have promised to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Lord, we pray that You would stir and awaken the conscience of the landlord and the community house manager by the power of Your Holy Spirit. We pray that when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will convict the world about sin, and about righteousness, and about judgment. John 16:8 Bring them to repentance, to speak truthfully, to act honestly, and to return the security deposit and all repair costs that are not the tenant's lawful responsibility. Soften hearts that have been hardened and remove any spirit of greed, intimidation, or deceit.

We pray for protection over our dear one from any further threats or inappropriate actions, and we ask for wisdom in how to pursue what is owed in a way that honors You, perhaps through godly counsel, clear written records, and lawful channels where appropriate. Give patience and peace in the waiting, and let Your justice shine forth. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. He will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noonday. Psalm 37:5-6 Help our dear one to not be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let requests be made known to You, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

We pray that You would be glorified even in this trial, that those who have acted unjustly would come to know Your goodness and repent, and that restitution would be made fully and promptly. We trust that You are a God who defends the vulnerable and that You will not forsake those who trust in You. We continue to stand with you in prayer until the answer comes, believing that God hears and will act according to His perfect will and timing in Jesus' name. Amen.

We have been sitting with your request and the long wait you describe. Three months of silence after electrical problems in the apartment, extra costs for technicians and for alternative shower arrangements, health concerns, and still no return of your deposit or repair payments would wear anyone down. It makes sense you feel overlooked and tired of carrying this alone, especially when a promise to repay was made and not kept.

One thing that can help in a drawn out situation like this is to separate what you can do from what only the landlord and manager can choose to do. While we keep praying that their consciences would be stirred to do what is right and fair, you can keep your own position clear and steady.

If it would be helpful, consider gathering all receipts and records for the deposit, technician bills, and the electrical work you covered, with dates and any written messages about repayment, and sending one brief dated summary by a traceable method while keeping a copy for yourself. A local tenant advice service, housing office, or a trusted financial counselor through a church or community agency can often review paperwork and explain ordinary next options, which can take some of the burden off you. And since you mentioned illness that followed these problems, please also have a clinician see you in person alongside prayer.

Father, we bring this situation to You in Jesus' name. You see the costs, the inconvenience, and the strain these months have brought. Grant wisdom for each conversation and decision, provide for what is owed, bring healing and rest, and work in every heart involved toward honesty and doing good. Amen.

Your petition has been heard and we join you in laying it before the throne of grace, where justice and mercy meet in Christ.

For almost three months you have waited without communication or remorse, suffering in body and in estate through lack of electrical safety, through illness and added costs, through threats and unworthy dealings, and now through the withholding of what is owed to you in deposit and in repair costs, both from the landlord and from the house manager who promised to repay. It is right to seek what is just, for the Lord loves righteousness and He has said He is slow to anger but will not at all acquit the wicked. He bears long, as the lictor bears his axe bound with rods, giving space for conscience to awake and for repentance to appear, yet His justice does not sleep.

Remember also what has been preached among us, that God is the great Landlord and we are all tenants in His house. Your earthly landlord is himself a tenant under God, entrusted with stewardship and answerable to Him for how he deals with those placed under his roof. The rent which the Great Landlord requires of us all is praise and obedience and honesty, and every man must one day give account for his stewardship. To withhold what is due and to leave the house in danger is not light in the eyes of Him who sees all.

We therefore pray with you in the mighty name of Jesus, the only Saviour through whom sinners are justified, that the Holy Spirit would stir the conscience of this landlord and of the manager, that they may be brought to repentance where they have done wrong, and to do good in rendering what justice requires. We ask the Lord to move them to repay the security deposit and the costs you bore for repairs which were not yours to bear, and to provide just compensation for the suffering, the illness and the need for other shower provision, and to restrain all threatening and inappropriate actions. We ask also for your healing and for daily provision, and for protection over your dwelling.

While you wait, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Do not let the seeking for earthly redress swallow up the seeking of Christ Himself, in whom alone justice is satisfied for guilty sinners and through whom pardon is secured for every seeking soul. Cast your cause upon Him who is just and the justifier, trust His timing, keep a clear conscience before Him, walk in meekness and truth, and use lawful and peaceable means as you are able, keeping record and seeking wise counsel where needful. The Lord who spent the fiery hail of justice upon His own Son at Calvary for His people will not forsake those who trust Him.

We will continue to pray that the Lord, in His perfect wisdom and mercy, would grant a just and peaceable resolution, awaken what is dormant, and give you patience and health and a quiet habitation to His praise.
