We join you in bringing this heavy and prolonged burden before the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus, and we thank you for continuing to seek prayer even after almost three months of silence and disappointment. We hear your cry for justice and for healing, and we know that God hears it even more clearly. He sees what has been withheld from you, the lack of electrical safety that put you at risk, the illness and the damage to your skin that may take years to heal, the costs you carried for alternative shower facilities and for repairs that were not lawfully your responsibility as a tenant, and the threats and other inappropriate actions you have endured. The Lord is not blind to oppression or to broken promises.
Scripture tells us that God cares deeply about justice and restitution. You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. Leviticus 19:13, and Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Isaiah 1:17. When Zacchaeus repented his heart was moved to restore what he had taken, saying Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much. Luke 19:8. We pray that the same conviction would work in the heart of your landlord and also in the community house manager who promised three months ago to repay you. We ask the Holy Spirit to awaken and stir their consciences to do good, to repent, and to walk in honesty, for dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord. Proverbs 11:1.
We also lift up your body to the Great Physician. What has happened to your skin and to your health grieves us, and we know it grieves the Lord who formed you. We pray for complete healing and restoration where damage was done. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3, and But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17, and Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3. We ask Him to rebuild and renew the affected areas, to ease any pain or distress, and to bring wholeness in His time.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our dear one who has suffered in this apartment. Lord, You see every detail, the unsafe conditions, the illness, the financial loss of the security deposit and the repair costs paid to technicians and for the house electricity system, the cost of finding other facilities to shower, and the threats that have caused fear. We ask You to move mightily. Convict the landlord and the manager of their responsibility, soften their hearts, and lead them to return everything that is owed and to offer fair compensation for the suffering and harm that was caused. Let their consciences be awakened by Your Holy Spirit to do what is right and to repent where they have done wrong. We ask for Your protection over our loved one, that no further threat or injustice would prevail, and for Your wisdom to know what lawful and peaceful steps to take, keeping good records and seeking wise and godly counsel where needed. Father, lay Your healing hand upon this wounded skin and upon the whole body. Restore what has been damaged, renew the tissue, take away inflammation and scarring, and bring comfort and strength each day. Guard the heart from bitterness while still seeking what is just, for Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19, and help us to pray even for those who have wronged us, as Jesus taught to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Matthew 5:44. We trust that You are our refuge and our defender, and that You will act in Your perfect timing. We wait for You with hope, for Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14. We cast all anxiety on You because You care for us, and we ask all this in the name of Jesus, our only Savior and our access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to walk in both truth and grace. Keep documenting all costs, communications, promises made, and receipts, and consider seeking wise counsel from a trusted local authority, tenant advocacy, or Christian mediation to pursue what is lawfully owed in a peaceable way. Do not repay evil for evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21. At the same time do not despise the long wait. The Lord has not forgotten you in these three months. He is near to those who are of a broken heart. Psalm 34:18. Keep bringing your needs before Him, for in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We are standing with you for justice to be done, for what was withheld to be returned, and for your body to be healed and rebuilt by the Lord's merciful hand.
