We join you together before the Father in Jesus mighty name regarding this prolonged injustice and suffering, and we thank you for continuing to bring this burden to the Lord even after almost three months without communication or repentance. The Lord sees what has been withheld from you and He hears your cry for justice and healing.
Scripture is very clear that withholding what is owed is not pleasing to God. Leviticus 19:13 says You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. And Deuteronomy 24:15 says you shall give him his hire on the day it is due, and Proverbs 11:1 says A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight. When a landlord or manager retains a security deposit, withholds repair costs that are lawfully their responsibility, or refuses compensation for harm caused by unsafe conditions, threats and other inappropriate actions, that dishonesty is an abomination to the Lord and we rebuke that injustice in Jesus name. God is a God of justice and He does not overlook oppression.
We also understand how discouraging it is to wait and to feel unheard. Jesus taught us to persevere in prayer when justice is delayed. In Luke 18:1 He spoke a parable to the effect that men ought always to pray, and not to faint, and in Luke 18:7 He says Won't God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them. We take comfort that your persistent prayers have not been in vain. The Lord has heard every prayer over these months and He will act in His perfect timing. Psalm 37:5 says Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.
We pray together now for your needs and for those who have wronged you.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace together. We lift up this dear one who has suffered from unsafe electrical conditions, from illness and painful skin damage, from the cost of alternative shower facilities, from threats and from financial loss. Lord You are the One who forgives all our sins and who heals all our diseases according to Psalm 103:3, and You have promised in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We ask in Jesus name that You would touch this body, heal the skin where it has been damaged, remove inflammation and pain, and rebuild what has been harmed. We ask for complete restoration that may take years in the natural, but nothing is impossible for You. Lay Your healing hand upon this child of Yours and bring comfort and wholeness.
We also bring the landlord and the community house manager before You. We ask that by Your Holy Spirit You would awaken their consciences, convict them of sin and stir them to do good and to repent. Ezekiel 36:26 says I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. We pray You would soften their stony hearts, remove greed and hardness, and lead them to return the security deposit and every repair cost that is lawfully owed, and to provide just compensation for the suffering, illness, shower costs and all other losses. Let them make full restitution and walk in honesty before You. We pray they would come to repentance as in Acts 3:19 Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out.
Lord we also ask for protection from further threats and inappropriate actions. Psalm 91:1 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Cover this dear one with Your shadow, give wisdom to navigate lawful authorities, and provide for every financial need. Romans 12:19 reminds us Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. We choose to leave vengeance to You while also trusting that You have established authorities for justice, and we ask for favor if lawful steps are needed to recover what is owed. Help our dear friend to keep a heart free from bitterness even while seeking what is just, and to love and pray for those who have caused harm as Matthew 5:44 teaches.
We thank You Father that You are near to the brokenhearted, that You see every tear and that You will not forsake those who trust in Jesus. Strengthen faith during this long wait, provide peace that passes understanding, and let Your will be done in this situation for Your glory. We ask all these things together in the mighty and only name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
